Hey there guys. I'm going to try tanking with my 70 pally. The stickey from Losie has been very helpful in pointing me in the right direction for gear. I just have a question reagarding a sword to use. I know that spell damage is really important so with that in mind I have 2 that Im looking at from Rep vendors. First is the Continuum Blade and the other is Archmage's Guile. I was wondering with the Archmages if the critical strike was worth it or just go with Continuum?

out of your options I would suggest the Continuum Blade since it has more stamina. Otherwise have you considered the Crystalforged Sword Crystalforged Sword or the Merc Mace? Not too hard to get honor for it these days.

I have thought of using it. It was just recently that I was asked to try tanking with my pally so I haven't really looked to see if its available in our AH.

You're on the right track either way :D

And honestly, with the S2 gavel available, the Cudgel of Consecration sitting in a nice lawlcakes easy heroic, and the Amani Punisher early in ZA -- you aren't stuck with the Blue ~120 Spell Damage weapons for very long before you get a ~200 one.

For what it's worth, I'd second the Contiuum Blade out of the options that you give, Stamina and all.

Are you exalted with Lower City? The Gavel of Unearthed Secrets isn't a half bad pally tank weapon.

It's way too slow actually. The spell damage is nice, decent stamina, gives some intellect. The spell crit on it is worthless, but again the biggest thing here: it has a 2.70 speed. Way, way too slow.

EDIT: once again today, I fail at links >.>
