I have two questions.Follow

Ello again,

I wanted to ask two questions, not talent related :3

Well i have 85 Badges of Justice and i was planning to save them for 80, but from what I've heard there is probably not going to be badge gear for 80 since it's going to be really easy to farm 70 heroics at 80. So what I wanted to know is what should i get with those badges that are useful PvP wise. I've already got an alright set of PvE gear.

Also I want to know why a lot of people think that Dual Frost Mage in 2v2 is bad. What are the cons and advantages? I can find a lot of ways to beat some of the common combos especially if the opposition is double melee. What is needed to be successful with this combination?

I hope the questions aren't too vague :P

As I understand it, there will be badge gear, but the level 70 badges will no longer be used, so definitely consider burning em. I'd suggest most of all filling in any holes in your set, perhaps picking up one of the PvP trinkets such as Battlemaster's Alacrity.

solid suggestion. That or you can pick up some gems and sell them if you need/want more money.

Dual frost mages...why others will beat it.

Your Crowd control shares diminishing returns timers. So, for instance, if you grabbed yourself a warlock partner, you now have 2 times the duration to CC out one opponent. Dual frost can be done, but at higher brackets the weakness lies in a counter class; if you fight one, they will win not to mention their partner. A warlock on the other team will make your life a living hell and given a rogue, druid, paladin anything partner, they will wear you down. The goal in 2's is to get a partner that can make up for one classes weaknesses...case and point druid/warrior. Druid can root, CC and heal the warrior; the 3 huge things a warrior lacks.

A huge reason for having a mage on a team is for that polymorph and counterspell. With 2 of them on the team and diminishing returns, you not only fail at helping out your weaknesses (locks, good priests, rogues to an extent, ect) but you gimp your advantages as well.

That being said, if you luck into fighting warrior/paladin, crappy warrior druid, youll get a win. But youll find yourself screaming by needing a lot of luck. For 2's, mages arent the best, id advise getting a good 3's team or grabbing a rogue or warlock to help out some of the mages weaknesses.

The biggest issue with duel frost are druids. This is because of two things. First druid noobshift gets them out of nova, sheep, and losses. Then the fact that to do real burst damage a mage needs casting time. Since all druids are like NASCAR drivers and can only go in circles around things, this messes with the LoS you need.

It's easy to THINK about all the advantages you can have as duel frosties, CS followed by CS for 8 sec min, shatter combo followed by shatter combo for *** kicking burst, ect. All this sounds great in theory but you can't expect to have things flow that smoothly every match.. or half the matches for that matter.

Like Zisikpus said, you need to teamate that will make up for what you lack as a mage. A rogue to lock up that druid so you can get a combo off, or to keep that lock in check while you beat down the priest, ect.

You have to remember what makeup alot of the 2v2 teams are. Warrior/druid-pally, rogue/priest, lock/druid. A simple thing to remember is that mages are great against melee and weak aganist casters, rogues are the opposite. This is why mage/rogue is a great team.

Yes, but i think very good co-ordination can make that run smooth, because it is much better having the player sit next to you other than using TS or Vent. :P I have figured that this combo needs a lot of timing/co-ordination and patience to master :P

Timing each others FN and WE FN will give you a big advantage. Because then you don't waste it, and you can get four shatter combos on one player other than just wasting all novas and doing one.

From all of your replies, it seems to me like a rogue would be much better to have on the team.

And for the BOJ question, i already bought 'Cloak of Subjugated Power' meh 60 badges oh well... :P

Anyway thanks for all your help XD

For PvP, i'd spend 60 badges on the cloak. For healers it's called Kharma's Shroud of Hope... for rogues i think it's called Dory's Embrace. I don't remember the one for spell casters but it has some nice stats along with resilience.
