As simple as the subject says. Can I do heroics considering this gear level?

And by heroics, I mean an easier one like Slave Pens? And should I be able to tank 3 of them, like the very first 3 in H SP at the same time.

Thanks!

Personally I'd be pretty confident we could finish the run if you were my tank, based on gear/chants/spec. Of course you won't really know until you give it a try, but based on what I see, I'd tell you to go ahead and try one. gl!

EDIT: omg, didn't read the other posts until after I posted here. Please, don't make 3 friggin posts with EXACTLY the same question, ever. Thought maybe you hit refresh having browser issues, but they all have different topics ...

Agree with Maulgak, you'd probably be ok.

I wouldn't take on all three mobs at the start though unless you had a well geared healer. Recommend you use CC and get a feel for how many hits and how much damage you can take or what the healer can keep up with.

If you're careful and go with a decent group then you should do fine.

Good Luck!

(and yes, please don't make 3 posts with the same question. That's just bad form, your first post will be answered eventually)

The three mobs combined at the beginning of SP hit very hard and very fast if you go with no cc. Your healer will have to be ready to start landing big heals immediately if you go without cc.

Thanks. And yes i am very sorry for the 3 posts. If an admin can delete them thats fine. Even on my first post last night, i was getting the duplicate post message X number of seconds ago, thats why i changed the title and tried again and got the same error. Apparently they actually posted.

Seems to me you could get a lot of benefit from more regular runs. For whatever reason, perhaps laziness, you have no glyph, no chest, glove, or leg enchants either. For any tanking purpose your libram might as well be in the bank.

Some of the other responses stressed you should bring a good healer or a geared healer. I make no claims as to having any great gear, but I know there is no chance I'd run a heroic with a tank in your gear unless they were my good friend. Why risk a big repair bill when I could seek out a tank of comparable gear level and have a nice coast of a run?

I'm completely opposite of homeskillet here. Your gear looks fine (other than your second ring and neck piece, get revered with CE pronto and get the rep neck from them), and at this point you pretty much have to do either KZ or heroics to get gear and badges. You're not going to find a decent tanking libram until you get the LoR, which means badges. Your chest piece could be upgraded from an uncrushability standpoint with the Jade-Skull Breastplate from Mech, but it's fine for heroics.

Now, I will say that while I admire your focus on uncrushability with your gemming, you should really stack stam. Heroics are all about stam, defense and armor, and you could get an extra 36 base stam, which rougly translates into about 400 health with talents. Even removing your defense gems you won't drop below 490, so you're fine.

And yes, get some Heavy Knothide Armor Kits for your gloves and legs.

Yes, the Heavy Knothide kits are perfectly fine as filler chants until you can get the good stuff, particularly for Heroics where stamina is more important then crushability (can't be crushed). I do not agree that you're gear isn't up to par for the lesser difficulty Heroics though, as I stated before. Quite honestly, I've run Heroics with tanks in worse gear: greens, no enchants at all, PvP shoulders, that sort of thing.

On the flip side, yes your gear could use some work, but it isn't so bad that you can't do some of the lower difficulty Heroics. I suggest as others above me have that you use some CC as you start. Get a feel for what you can and cannot take. Then as you get better gear and get more comfortable with what Heroics are like, phase out the use of CC.
