would it be worth getting the s2 1h's and slapping +30 int on each for solo play? right now im using the s3 axe with +35 agi and mostly t4/badge gear. i have around 25k honor with nothing really to spend it on as I don't like arena on my hunter.

You shouldn't need int for soloing. I'd go for agi.
The thing is I can keep soloing even while OOM. Just tone down my shots while my mana regens.
The reason hunters use 2x 30 int fr PvP is because people tend to enjoy draining our mana.
So there it is beneficial to have that extra 900 mana and extra mana return from Viper.
In soloing, you shouldnt really run out of mana... ever.
Just stay in Viper and do a basic shotrotation and you should be fine for the next 5 hours or so.

Back in my MM days before they added the most recent +20 Agility to a 1H weapon enchant, I ran with two one handers, each with +30 Int. The extra mana and attack power were great, especially compared to the +15 Agility enchant, which used old content materials (read EXPENSIVE), and was hard to get.
For now, though, with the improvements to Aspect of the Viper, and the ease with which you can get +20 Agil for a 1H weapon, I do not think +30 Int is the way to go anymore.
Once WotLK is out, the Int = An attack power boost talent falls within reach of all Hunters. There may be some legitimacy in having the best +Int enchant on your weapons over +Agi. Time will tell, and I will leave that research to the Mathhammer crowd.

I am with Aethien on this one. I only use +30INT on my PVP one handers. for PVE I use a 2hd with (I have two diff ones) the savagery or +35agi. Depends on if I have a pld or not.
Yeah, you shouldn't need any int for soloing. If you have a decent Mp5 then you should be fine for soloing and the int is really for arena as Aethien said above.
