Dump agro.

You are pulling too much agro - Cast it, wait - Your agro goes down.

Tank Dies, Healer's getting beaten on, everthing generally going down - about to wipe - Cast it... Run away and hide. (Like Rogues)...

It's just an agro dump, though it is fun if you see someone in World PVP to sneak up on them... But really - Agro Dump.

I generally use it right before I Molten Fury range (less than 20% of a bosses life). That way I will have hundreds of thousands of threat leway to go nuts with DPS.

For PvP, you can use it to get away. I know all they have to do it hit you during the "fading out" time, but if you blink to an LoS object or sometimes that blink will give you 5 sec to get out of mellee range to ditch your pursuer. It can be used offensively for positioning. Most people don't look behind them for a ranged enemy to unstealth.

There isn't that much potential with it, I will occasionally use it to skip mobs when I want to, but the problem is that you can't see anything except for other invisible people (read: mages), stealth I beleive does not affect this.

Mainly, as stated, it is an aggro dump, after 5 seconds you are at 0 threat as long as you do not cast or get hit.

Confirmed by a rogue. I've been wanting to learn a bit about the spell for a fair bit, since I too was in doubt of if the double pom-pyro mages in the arena could actually see me... Thing is they've never actually hit me before so I suppose it's the same as with the warlock's detect invisibility spell.

I s'pose it's fair that you only get to see eachother while invisible (else arena-wise mages are too rogue-like), but it seems to me that somewhat ruins the purpose... Sure, you can get a good position. But specifically, in an arena, the odds are that warrior has taken up that position as well and your invisibility fades in front of his nose.

You can also use it to gank Succubi. Not that this accomplishes much, but you can.

Also, you can see people who can see invisible as well, so at least you know if that Warlock remembered to cast Detect Invisibility.

In the SSO dalies, after I get my last bit of the reservists down, I use it to get to the dragonhawk, just to avoid the mobs there.

Also nifty, as mentioned, for the aggro dumps.

Not sure if this works for horde, but as alliance if you use invisibility to get into a tower in AV you can use the flag and it will make the archers disappear. Normally though I get up there and either a) a non-stealther agros the archers so they won't despawn or b) I get eaten by the rogue/lock or group of horde waiting in the tower.

Generally I use it just as a threat dump.

Invisibility is not only great as an aggro wipe but its also great when raiding and you're unfortunately about to wipe - or your RL has told you to take the wipe. Instead of sitting in front of an inbound cleave that'll add 10g to your repair bill, click Invisibility, run away and watch the rest of the raid wipe and run in/ress whilst you sit back and wait for them hehe

I use invis for the first 20 seconds of arena. I time it so that I'm invisible when the door opens and my partner is a rogue, so the enemy doesn't think 'mage/rogue', they thing 'rogue/rogue' 'druid/rogue' 'druid/druid'. Very useful for getting the upper hand in an arena fight.

Another use: allows you to drink if you wre otherwise in combat. The eat/drink part doesn't work on most raid bosses but works perfect on adds from runners or patrols.

Its also awesome to ninja the flag in ABs, pretty easy to time the fade and no one expects mages to go invis.

Same as using evocation, time it right in boss fights. It sucks when you need to dumb agro but during the fade time you get hit by aoe and did not lose threat but just spend time without dps'ing. Also sucks when channeling evo and get hit by timed aoe so check timers before casting it so you can actually use those.

When you actually go invisible completely, are you still a valid target for multi-target attacks? Not quite AoEs, but more like Multi-Shot, or any of the bolt Volley spells?

Feign death doesn't stop it. Stupid demons throwing saw blades at me when they think I'm dead, but they never throw them at dead people.. And some one always thinks it's a good idea do draw AoE mobs around corners right on top of me. *nerdrage QQ*

I do not believe you are able to be hit, similar to when a rogue is stealthed.

I can confirm this, at least on one fight.

Go Invis on Gurtogg Bloodboil at the wrong time, you don't eat the bloodboil like you're supposed to. Smiley: blush

Actually, I think you do, we have been wiping/resetting it and I am out front of the raid and will still get it, breaking my invis.

I know I've managed to get a guy a second stack of bloodboil while invising in the water during a non-wipe(well, we weren't in the process of wiping at that point). It could be a flaky behavior, but it happened when the guy wasn't near to being further than I was(he was a good 10 yards from the water, I was in the water).

A tad OT, but when exactly do you get invisbility? Is it at 70?

That's what I thought. For some reason, I couldn't find crap on it. I remember playing with it during a PTR a bit ago. Made me feel a bit nauseas, so I may have to turn down my video settings.
