I have a shadow priest which reached level 70 a couple of months ago. In Sethekk Halls for example where there are those shaman mobs, and in ZA at Halazzi a few days ago, I noticed that my Mind Flay does not work against the totems, I cant remember if I get an "Immune" notice, but the MF just does not connect. Is this a known something that I have somehow missed? havent tried others spells on it, usually by the time my dots tick on it or I finish casting MB the other people have killed the totem already.

So I´ve done a bit more searching and found out that totems are immune to any DoT effects, they can only be harmed by direct damage (Mind Blast for example).

The only abilites we have to help take down totems are mind blast, shadow word: death, wand and melee (which is laughable) as a shadow priest. All our raid leaders know that when totems need killing, I just ignore it since mind blast and swd are always on cooldown and a wand is too slow.

It's a bit annoying, but that's just the way it is.
