Combat SwordsFollow

Ok, I'm finally crawling out of my shell of ignorance and respeccing from combat daggers to combat swords. One problem; what swords should I get? The guild I'm in is currently doing T5 content, and rarely does T4 content anymore. I'm sure they would do T4 if enough people bugged them, but I doubt we're going to take away a chance at Solarian just so one person can have a 1 in 20 chance of getting spiteblade. So, I'm wondering if there are any good swords I can use once I respec? I've seen people use arena swords, but the fact that they have such concentration on crit rating makes me think otherwise. So, are there any swords, specifically, that I might start looking at?

Spend a weekend in BGs.

edit: apparently giving a valid advice gets you rate down here. ~ ~

Theo would probably write that you are moron. ;) No offense.

Farm honor and EOTS tokens, buy S2 swords, gather badges for badge fists or if you can get arena swords (S3 or S4), do it. PVP swords are better than most of PVE swords you will find.

S3 > Badge Fists > S2.

BTW: Use spreadsheet.

Ok, thanks.

edit: @ elustriel, I rated you up, since someone was mean and rated you down, :)

PvP follows the track of PvE gear. S1=T4 S2=T5 S3=T6 and S4=Sunwell. However, because they have made S2 (and to an extent S3) gear so easy to obtain, you can often have weapons that are a much higher item level than your current content. Therefore, spending a week doing bg's can get you very nice weapons and to an extent nice armor. However, be sure to budget your stats (i.e don't neglect hit which PvP gear has very little of).

Actually S3 and Badge are roughly the same.

While there can be a debate made between the higher "quality" of the badge fists versus the honor swords have for raiding.... badge gear will take a long time if you're not farming Kara. Plain and simple.

Take some time, remember to defend Iceblood graveyard, and go for the season 2 swords. Quickblade and Slicer

*edit: And save those badgers for the belt, legs and chest. ;)
