Well i dinged my mage 70 about 2 days ago and i have been running 70 instances almost non-stop since then. ive been trying to upgrade my gear to kara strength, but i reached the point where i have to ask, is it worth it running instances to gear for kara or just find a kara pug or two to get geared.
i curently have 600+ spell dmg and a 23% crit strike ability but i dont wanna drag the run down.
any advice the more experienced mages could give me would be greatly appreciated

You have enough stats to go to Kara. The catch 22 tho is most PuG Kara runs are badge runs not gear other people runs. Just saying this to warn you that you may get turned down a lot because you are not over geared for there. Try to find a friendly guild to tag along with is your best bet.
Even though you are speced arcane/fire you could use a little more spell hit. But to start kara your not to bad. You have enough damage and crit. You can start as soon as you find someone who will take you. Actually your gear is pretty impressive for someone who hit 70 two days ago.

You can gear very very decently for Kara from normal instances.
