Stats for Elemental Shaman starting...Follow

Try to get to 30-33% spell crit with your Lightning spells as soon as possible. You can get 10% crit on Lightning spells from talents (5 in the resto tree, 5 in the elemental tree), so really just try for 20-23% spell crit from gear. The aforementioned 10% will not show up in your character window, by the way.



The reason for this is not DPS, but mana management.

I went ele from 1-70. I had about 22% (33% with talents) crit, 600 + damage and like 115mp5 before I switched over. I was doing around 500-600dps on average with those stats

Just be prepared to lightning bolt spam and just about nothing else.

I switched enhance a couple months ago and I do 625-725 dps depending on group makeup (read: salv)
