Following the previous thread, I noticed something that probably makes me something of a dunce. I've been using the Hourglass over the Abacus for PVP (have diff. trinkets for PvE). I've been using this along with the 20 resil fear trinket...still need about 15k for the 45 resil.

For BG's, which one should I be using? I usually use the abacus for Arena, but we suck so bad it doesn't really matter.

Maybe you should get Bloodlust Brooch? Or even better Berserker's Call from Zul'Aman. Only 41 badges. ;)

For me those two trinkets are similiar but hell... what do I know? :P

I suppose most people will tell you to go for the Abacus for PvP because it allows you to choose exactly whén you want a speed bonus. While that's true I'm going to tell you it's such a small difference it doesn't matter too much.

Anyone have any data on the PPM on the Hourglass? In AV a 2 min. cooldown is nothing, considering I spend most of my time stealthed. But in EOTS, it's an all out rampage most of the time, and if the Hourglass procs once a minute, which I think it is close to, I'd prefer that (it's a sick AP boost when I have that, Bloodlust..i'm an orc, and both mongoose procs up). I guess that would be my determining factor in BG's. I use the abacus for Arena for that same reason - can control usage when it's needed.

EDIT: Forgot it's based on crits...5% chance on critical hit to proc, but also forgot the 45 second internal cooldown. Looks like I'm saving 41 badges for the brooch.

Also, Theo pointed out to me a few weeks ago that when Beerfest starts there will be a mob that spawns in BRD that drops duplicates of all the badge trinkets. I couldn't wait until then to upgrade so I got the Bloodlust Brooch, but if Romulo's vial doesn't drop by then I will be farming to get that one as well.

Whoa, wait...what? This sounds too good to be true!

From a thread I started asking about a trinket macro:

Don't buy BLB, there's a trinket coming out in Brewfest that's exactly the same, and doesn't use badges.

Edit: Empty Mug of Direbrew, FYI.

Little more info on it:

Brewfest is Sept 20 - Oct 4
Drops off Coren Direbrew who will be a spawn in the pub inside BRD during the Brewfest time, similiar to the Headless Horseman for Halloween.

Edit: After figuring out how to add this item to the DPS sheet I have and plugging it in, Rumulo's is a 7.89 DPS upgrade when paired with the Bloodlust Brooch, where as The Mug is a 12.27 upgrade. All I did was copy the BB line and change the name and item number. Not sure if there is something else I have to do since they are the same other than that. Looks like I will be farming this come Beerfest regardless of RV drops...which it won't since we always seem to get BBW or the occassional Oz. Out of about 10-12 runs I have seen R&J once.
