With my 70 druid a bit tired and old (plus it now takes 4 or 5 allies more than a minute to kill me) I decided to level up a few other characters. Rogue seems to be getting most of my attention (shammy seemed too "easy" to play with, hunter not much fun for me)
Since I'm mostly soloing through quests on my way to 70 and not planning on any major PVP battles until around 50's, is there a suggested talent build suitable for heavy DPS? I looked into Theo's posts and there's many suggested builds but would Combat Mutilate spec (http://wowhead.com/?talent=f0ecoEMoidVohfV0bV) be the best overall? It's under the burst role and seemed the best for PVE.
Also what stats should I be favoring for gears? Agi for crit chance or AP for damages?

Combat swords will level you the fastest, but there is a decent sized debate concerning playstyles. I preferred combat mutilate to level, seemed like more fun.
For lower levels, gear agi>hit>stam>ap>crit for PvE. Don't buy **** off the AH, just use quest rewards. Read stickies and prepare to get flamed, alot. :)

Mutilate is a great build, but the last time I checked, you can't even get the talent until level 50.
