Is it an acceptable new-to-70 Item set? Is it worth the time to get them made? It looks OK for Holy, but don't know if they will be outpaced the second I step into a heroic/raid.

alot of boe ah stuff will be replaced as soon as you step into heroic/raid. shoot doing arena's and bg's will phase out some.
Although you have to keep in mind drop rates, frequency of your PvP, etc.. BOE crafted pieces from the AH may very well last you a long while, or they could get replaced on your first trip to a Heroic. It's a gamble.
if the khorium set is all you can get go ahead i guess. but for healing, most of it can be replaced in regular level 70 instances... or with items in easy heroics (SP) with fairly decent drop rates... i personally wouldn't spend the money on them. theres a holy pally guide here with some good gear advice.
