I'm thinking he's messing with us. 'Okay' in that context can also be interpreted as 'I hear you'. It might not necessarily be an acknowledgment of an upcoming change. However for a Blizz employee to use such an easily misinterpreted meaning would not be good thing.

No I'm pretty sure it means we'll get bigger stables.

I think either more stable slots or a different system, one which will let us have more. So yeah, more either way.

It doesn't seem like a "Yeah, whatever" post. The blue did decide to post in that thread, there are loads of others that they don't get involved in.

Well, with the new pet minimum level options and all the pet talent trees, yeah, maybe they are rethinking the idea of restricting us to just 3 active pets. It will add to Hunter versatility to have multiple pet types.

What I want is the multiple pet whistle. I can summon a dozen different mounts. Warlocks can summon a bunch of different demons. Yet Hunters have to go to a stable master to swap out pets? Stupid. Allow me to 'call' a given pet, have a 1 minute call time, whatever. Maybe a stable master opens a portal for my pet to come through and I have to pay for the summon service, again, whatever. Let me call any pet from the stable.

With 4-5 stable slots I can have a couple of RAID pets, use against physical, resistant, ranged, etc. A PvP pet. A BG pet. A solo pet.

Suddenly, a whole plethora of options open for Hunters. It would increase our usefulness a bunch of times over and make parties want to have a Hunter in them.

I have been okay thus far with just re-specc'ing one pet. Now with the immediate 5 levels below me bit, I will look at other pets. The talent trees make it so I will actively seek them out for specific uses. Increased stable slots, bonus! Ability to summon any pet I need for a situation I will be in: true awesomeness.

I agree, Slo, that would be excellent. I'm not going to expect it, but maybe one day... :)

Either way, at least it's being looked at. The new abilities and such are gonna make we want to try a bunch of different pets.

There are 2 additional slots in the stable.

Integrating hunter / warlock pet management into the new mount and companion UI has certainly come up already. Let's give the new UI a whirl and see if it works and then we can consider if it makes sense to integrate the stable or anything else into it.
I'm drooling.

After reading comments elsewhere, where people are interpreting the post as meaning "You already have 2 extra slots" I'm not at all sure about this.

It's annoyingly ambiguous.

Gah!
