Can someone be a Resto and Enh?
If u have gear for healing and DPS.
And u have points in both trees, more in Enh, than Resto-Resto has some key ones.
Is it possible to just switch gear and then heal and then do ENH dps after switching gear?
I've read that it's impossible, but lets be positive here, because ALMOST anything is possible.

Ok, let's be positive. I am positive that it is impossible. This would fall under the "almost anything".
Going halfway down talent trees is usually stupid. You become mediocre in both specs. It's best to excel in one.
I would either respec and keep 2 sets of gear or decide which you would rather do, dps or heal.

I've seen a couple enhance sham try this and they all failed. On the other hand if you go full ele with 13 in resto and have a full set of resto gear you can acctually still be a decent healer if you know ahead of time you need to do it.
I've been doing this with my sham lately, In kara we are starting to try to convert over to just 2 healers, but on fights like netherspite or Nightbane we like to have a 3rd person healing. For the whole instance i'll put on my ele set (mostly blues since it is just an offset) and do about 800 dps, but when they want the third healer i'll put on my resto set and go to town.
When i do this i can't get the 5.5-6k heals i get as resto but i still heal for just over 4k without any trouble. And since I'm just the backup healer this is fine.

I saw it from a some S5's out, 2200+ rating Sham. I was being nosy outside the Arena NPC's in Shat and my XPerl spied a interesting combo when I targeted him. 0/7/54 spec. Seemed odd at first glace, but its perfect for a Arena healer on the go!
Course, 7 points in Enh barely qualifies it to even mention the Enh part, as this is clearly Resto in make and practice.
0/40/21 Enh/Resto is pretty common, but either way you cut it, its gonna be heavy in either Resto OR Enh, not a 50/50 cut.
Only Class I've played that works "well" with a near 50/50 talent split would be a 31/30/0 or 31/27/3 Warrior. This does not work in the current talent tree's or the WotLK trees...which IMO "force" you to pretty much go a full 61 in a given tree to be "effective" in a spec. One could argue Blizz is making us specialize more soon. We'll see...
