Which change, so far, in the beta, do you think helps/changes Shamans as a class. Also feel free to just list your favourite.
I wont put up a poll because there are too many things and I want to keep this open incase new info comes out.
my favorite is malestorm wep: instant cast lava burst HELL YEAH
Personally I find it a toss up between Hex, and the changes to how totem effect others i.e. totem mixing, making them raid wide, and changing the effects they have.

I am really looking forward to Hex. The main reason for this is actually for soloing purposes, as that is really what I play for. I think it will be a huge benefit to be able to CC a bit.
Of all of the new abilities brought out so far, I am the most excited to level my shaman again. Easily surpassing my two other 70's.
Personally what makes me the happiest is the changes to totems. Raid wide totems, totem combining/mixing, you name it. I highly doubt that they can top this with the other classes, but we will see!
BTW to me, hex sounds to good to be true. I will believe the hexie goodness when I see it. Until then, IM just gonna imagine its some retarded crap to try and appease shammies...
Im too negative sometimes, but honestly I have seen how badly shamans have been worked over, I imagine it will happen again.

Awww... got all excited to share a story, then realized you were talking about expansion builds. Haven't paid much attention to them yet...
But I did have a warm hybrid moment in Arena! For a few seconds at least...
See, for the expansion I moved on from my Enhance and respecc'd Elemental. Survivability down (of course), but defending the flags is BG's is just POW! ZAP! KABLAMMIE! Until, of course, I'm noticed and slaughtered... but fun none the less!
Now Arena! Wooohoooo! Rogue EARTHBIND! Priest PURGE! HEROISM! Chain lightning with Overload, Mastery, and Nature's Focus...KAZAAAPPPP! Mwaaaahaaahaaaaaaaa...
Loving it! Ran 5 last night with guild, won 3, had a blast!
Last 5, our priest has to go. We pull in a warrior (needs 3 for the week). Who's gonna heal? Well, I got 450 bonus healing (ele gear sorta hybrid still).
I GET THE JOB! Woooooohoooooo! Look Mom! I'm an Elemental Healer! I send ya a postcard after the battles!
So, gates open, I'm revvin. I'm kickin *** and taking names on dps, until, of course I'm noticed and slaughtered... this healing thing is going to be a cinch!
I take you now to the ENEMY TEAM...
A) 'I see a warrior, hunter, druid (looks feral), shaman, last may be rogue...'
B) 'What about their healer?'
A) 'Resto shammy probably'
C) 'Focus on the shammy first'
A,B,D) 'KK'
MY TEAM...
Me) 'OK guys, I got the main tank targeted, I don't know how long I can keep up manawise, but can drop a pot, will give warning. Focusing on main tank with healing wave followed with chain heal if any in range.'
Others) 'KK'
Me, in my head) Alright Oz, nows the time to shine, just gotta...holy s&it!
/I drop earthbind, run backwards and fire off my opener, then get sapped from behind...
Me) 'ROGUE! CAN'T DO S*&T!'
ENEMY TEAM:
D) 'WTF? That shammy just opened with a lightning macro as I was charging.'
B) 'The healer is an ele? ROFLMAO!'
C) 'Just sapped him, he's not healing anyone'
A) 'OMFG, this is a walk in the park, I'm going to get some ice cream'
As the healer I finished with 1,600 damage from a single spell and 0 healing.
Im stickin to DPS.
Never wrote Mom a postcard...
