A nice bonus to using mouseover macros: you really don't need a shackle macro or cc add-on. Just keep your shackle target targeted and hit your shackle hotkey as needed in between heals. Since you aren't targeting raid/party members to heal anyway, it doesn't interfere with anything.

Actually, I have a nice shackle macro too.

#showtooltip Shackle Undead
/clearfocus [modifier:alt][target=focus,dead][target=focus,help][target=focus,noexists]
/focus [target=focus,noexists]
/stopcasting
/cast [target=focus]Shackle Undead

The first time you use it, it sets your focus target to your current target and shackles it. Each subsequent time you use it it will reshackle your focus target. When you use it and you have no target, or your target is dead it will set your focus target to blank, and focus on your current target (if you have one). I only use it because I like keeping the MT targeted when possible so I can see the predicted incoming heals more easily.

Very nice shackle macro too - I would be dumb enough to shackle the wrong target the first time and have it ***** up. Haha, I better stick the normal shackle button next to it.

But the good thing is now I can actually dps to a normal extent while something is shackled how useful.

I like how it has the /stopcasting in it too, so that if your casting a long cast spell it stops you dead in your tracks. Great idea.

The shackle macro's lovely. And the nice thing is, it can be very useful for other classes, as well. I've modified the same macro to work with Polymorph, Seduce, Banish and Cyclone. Although, as a tanking Feral, my druid doesn't use the Cyclone one very often. Smiley: grin

Get grid. You can set it up so that the icon representing the magic/disease debuff appears in the middle of someones grid box. I have this set up and have a click casting macro set up so that I can ctrl-leftclick for dispell magic on the unit frame and ctrl-rightclick for abolish disease.
Best thing about it is that it still shows all the incoming heals to raid targets while keeping its size small, makes overhealing much easier to avoid.

here's an example of how it looks in my UI. I'm shadow in this picture, but my layout remains the same for healing purposes

also, check out http://elitistjerks.com/f31/t23790-priest_holy_raiding_compendium_v2_wow-2_4_3_a/
and look under 'setting up grid to be useful as a priest'. Its by far the best list of optional grid modules I've come across so far

What button mod are you using? I like the look of your buttons at the bottom of your screen.

I'm using bartender 3 in that shot with the cyCircled mod, can't remember which layout it was exactly off the top of my head.

I am really glad to read this. I looked at the WoW forum list of priest macros and was overwhelmed. TY everyone. Every post helped me.

No, thank you Abalone, for bumping up this thread and making it so easy to find when I logged in and all my macros were gone. Smiley: bah

Pitbull and Healbot both had recent upload dates when I downloaded them this morning. I am going to try to use these two with the macro code from thegreatmothra. I just jumped in here, as there is probably a discussion thread about it already, going to look...

Spent a couple hours looking at different collections of addons reports, but this one is graphically pleasing:
