lvl, which area to lvl best?Follow

#1 Jul 29 2008 at 5:59 AM Rating: Default
Basically,

Where should I go to lvl,

Blade's Edge, Netherstorm, or Shadow moon?

Also, some people in guild recomended that I should stay at 69 and pvp so that I could get enough points and marks for some good PVP gear. Good idea or not?

I don't think it is cause i want to be 70 already damn it!!!

Also, Is it hard to get decent gear for Raiding and PVP?(hard)-meaning what do u have to do for both?

Go to Blade's Edge. It'll be easier and faster.

I only recommend ppl stay at 69 to PvP if they are winning a lot in that bracket. If you win 75% or more of your games, you might as well get the more guaranteed honor and marks. If your losing 50/50 or less in that bracket, move up to 70. You will get more honor in the process. Keep in mind no matter when you move up to 70, you will no longer be the demi-god you were at 69, but now the red-headed step child the enemy slaps around for giggles. Als,o now that marks a redeemable for honor, it is incredibly easy to get decent PvP gear.

Ugh, Blades Edge made me take a break from leveling I was that annoyed by the zone, it is 10x easier with a flying mount.

You don't saw what level you currently are. If you are close to 70 you could try to polish off the last level or two in instances and have all 3 for flying-mount goodness to get a ton of money for completing the quests. I skipped out of BEM and went into netherstorm from 67-70, worked alright for me.

I did a bunch of BGs in the 60's bracket, banking the honor so that I could upgrade some gear as soon as I dinged 70. Think I had enough honor to get the staff and the robe. As noted above, at 69, you're the top of the bracket, and able to do well--especially against the lower levels that show up in AV from time to time. As a newly dinged 70, you're pretty much raw meat for the guys that have been there for long enough to get fully decked out in gear. That's just the nature of the beast. Shadowmoon is good for Scryers, with lots of quests available. I dunno what Aldors do.

Really? How come? The quests are really easy (at least for Alliance). Plus, you can get the gnomes to throw you into the different locations you need to go, so travel is significantly shortened. :)

Well it kind of comes out to what you want to do after you hit 70. I know it can be kind of hard to think about right now, but what is your reptuation bar looking like right now? Look up some of the good rep factions and their items (was covered in a thread on the front page here somewhere -- I believe the just dinged 70 one) that has a good list of which factions are good to get rep with for some nice rewards. Try running those instances a few times, might as well get XP + Rep out of them and some decent gear upgrades while moving towards 70.

As Horde I didn't (or didn't notice) any gnome guys to be able to port me around so it was a lot of time traveling up a hill down a hill and around bends to get where I wanted to be instead of a fairly-straight shot like in SMV/Netherstorm -- but that is my personal preference. I would say try doing some instances (if your server still does regular ones -- mine doesn't too much) if you can get into them [just stay in /lfg looking for groups while doing the quests]).
