WotLK update:

Rogue
Rogue energy mechanics have now been changed, they now return energy every 1/10th of a second instead of 20 every 2, this change makes energy generation more fluid.
Kick: This ability is no longer affected by the global cooldown.

Nice!

That's one thing I've always wondered about...mana regen and rage both are smaller scales, meaning they always have a more accurate reading of the resource...as energy is restored in blocks. I'd even take chunks of 5 coming back every .5 seconds.

It's a great thing. How many times have I found myself with 30 energy while I needed 35 for a move and needed to wait two full seconds while only half a second would have been enough for the missing 5 energy...

Hope it gets implemented, and rather sooner than later.

aye, good change on the energy regeneration.

A lot of times you're just a tad short of enough energy to do another ability.

I've been testing it pretty much all day. Even after I got my S4 chest, I really don't care to test it out in BGs because this is too much fun.

There's really no downside to this change other than being able to time energy ticks so you get free energy.

How do you get free energy?

I've been saying (to my RL friends that play) for a long time now that Kick either needed to be taken off the GCD, or reduced to 20 energy.

I think the Blizzard Thought Police finally heard me!

Time ticks for AR so that AR goes off right as you'd get a tick of energy, thus not wasting a few seconds of the ability.

Also, opening a split second before energy ticks, so that in most circumstances you'd pop out with 70 energy, you really pop out with 90.

Check MMO-Champion, they've been taken off GCD as well.

Too bad the changes are coming in 3.0 at the earliest, which will be a few weeks prior to WotLK, if not actually in WotLK. Smiley: grin

anyone tested out what this will do to casters in arena?

one great strat for a caster was to attempt to time certain casts for right after you fake a skill from a warrior.. the global cooldown was your chance to get casts off. without being pummeled.

Now even after a good fake you could really get destroyed.

anyone tested and found out if its gonna destroy that strat?

Yes, we're totally on beta playing arena and doing serious team-based PvP every day and not leveling and testing zones and quests.
