I wasn't talking to you, either.

Ah, they're playing my song.

The point RP was actually to do with the talent investment required for such a (comparitively) crappy ability. Yes 9% magical damage is nice to bring along, but again the maintenance and limitations are inferior to baseline abilities. If Ebon Plague was baseline and only buffed damage by 5% I'd say DKs would always get a raidslot for that alone, then they really would be melee Shadowpriests, because as Gaudion says they could do respectable DPS on their own as well as increasing raiddmg.

Hence I'd like to see those talents condensed into one, and possibly moved higher in the tree so more DKs can utilise them without sacrificing so many DPS talents.

Seriously, the reality tends to boil down to, if your DPS drops below a certain threshold on the meters, you mysteriously stop getting raidslots unless you're personally best buds with your raidleader and/or he understands your class better than most. A fine and varied company of retards think that 'min/maxing' means only bringing people with high AP/dmg/heal and watching meters like a hawk to see if anyone is behind the pack. In that comparison, an Unholy DK will look pretty rough as a raid choice.

Ah, my mistake. The problem is that you and the people you play with are retards who don't know how the game works, and especially not raiding? Well, then there's not much you can do to fix that, really.

Best of luck in your future endeavors, but I think you're kind of screwed.

Just for clarification; 9% magic damage means in a raid with 8 casters (3 Mages, 3 Warlocks, 1 Moonkin, 1 Elemental Shaman) if you deal ~30% of the damage another caster would deal you are DPS neutral. Yes, 30%.

No, really. Literally 30%. Assuming you can do any damage at all (and, frankly, you will be) it would be worth bringing you for that alone. It is an obscenely strong raid debuff, and complaining that it's not as strong as 'baseline abilities' is moronic.
