I could have missed it as I am not 100% with it this morning... But has there been information whether it be posted, said, or speculated if when starting a Death Knight what armor, if any you will have? I would just assume that at lvl 55 you would need to be provided with at least green quality gear.
From everything I've read from beta testers DK kinda start with armour but you've gota earn it. So basicly for your first pieces of armour u gota do a bunch of fetch quests and listen to abunch of storyline quests. Also the armour you get is of rare quality and suposibly on par with AQ40 gear. Ask Overlord Theo for more info on his beta forum im sure he can give you (as he got an opt in) a much better idea than I.

Yes you start with green quality gear straight off the bat but by the time you are done with the starting area you will have it all replaced with blue gear.
On a side note, death knights are basically invincible from what I have learned in my time playing them.
