Having trouble picking your trade skill for priest?Follow

I have a priest (level 60) and when i first started my priest i wanted to know, which trade skill for a priest. I never got a straight answer but i chose tailoring and enchanting. The tailoring was easy to level up on, but the enchanting was a pain in the butt, It payed off though. now i am enchanting like crazy and getting a whole whack of money and all of my armor is enchanted with lots of +spirit. The tailoring was a very good idea too cause i made the best cloth armor for me. So if your stuck on what trade skill to do for a priest, i would choose tailoring a enchanting. But remember, it's all up to you.

Although I'm also tailor/enchant on my priest, I would say it's alot more subjective. There's really no two wrong professions to choose from. I leveled my priest as an herbalist/alchemist to 70 but at the time (about a month after bc was out) People kept talking about how ridiculously overpowered the frozen shadowweave set was (and still is for it's ease of acquirement). So I decided to drop herb for tailoring and later on alch for enchanting.

It just really depends on what you want your professions for. If you want 2 that will benefit your gear then that is a very good choice. If you're more intrested in making money then something like mining/herb would be a solid choice. It's all about what your needs are. Lucky for me my druid has epic flight form so herbing/alch is pretty quick without ever having to dismount :)

I'm Tailoring and alchemy on my Priest. That has worked out well for me. I'm always making potions and flasks for raids, and I wouldn't be without my alchemy stone.

As a matter of fact, I like alchemy so much that I have 3 alchemists. One is potion mastery, the other elixir mastery, and my third will eventually be transmute mastery (extra procs ftw).

One advantage of having alts is that I can focus on the professions I want for any particular character, and my other characters can herb or mine, disenchant and prospect for cash.

A lot of different profession combos can work. Right now I'm tailor/enchant; for a long time I was tailor/herbalism. I've thought about dropping enchanting for JC'ing (especially for the Sunwell neck), but I'm still not sure. Tailor/engineer can get you some really good gear, mining/JC'ing or mining/skinning or mining/herbalism can all get you a ton of money. Really depends on what you plan on doing.

For WotLK, I'm going to drop tailoring for herbalism, and level as herb/enchant. Stack up herbs and DE'd stuff, which by the looks of it so far I'll be able to DE every piece of gear I get until level 80. Once I have everything accumulated, drop herbalism for tailoring again, powerlevel it and DE everything for more mats to stock up on, enchant a pair of good rings, and then drop enchanting for inscription. That's my plan right now anywho, kinda depends on how powerful the BoP stuff ends up being.
