I feel like I'm whipping heroic bosses with a wet noodle. Forget Molten Fury, Dell and blizz should get together again to develop a keyboard that increases your dps based on how hard you mash your Frostbolt keybinding while waiting for your last cast to finish when the mob gets below 20%. Come on just one more frostbolt...

So that aside, does anyone have a good educated guesstimate as to what heroic dungeon dps should be in PvP gear (820ish +dmg, 20% crit, minimal hit, zippy haste) and PvP spec (with 3/3 Ele Precision)? Overall I think was seeing 600-650 in heroic BF recently, depending on whose recount you looked at.

On a related note, I sub in Flowing Thought with +15 hit enchant as well as Crimson for cheap +hit on the bosses, but should I just go ahead and wear that the whole time? I know hit (up to cap) > all other dmg stats for raid bosses, but I don't know the math against 70s and 71s.

Against level 70 mobs your base chance to hit is 96% so elemental precision hit caps you. Against level 71 you need 4% and against level 72 you need 5%. So to hit cap your frost bolt on level 72 (with elemental precision) you need 25.6 spell hit (12.6 spell hit = 1%) but since it rounds down you need 26 spell hit.

Wow 26 spellhit, that's it? I get that from the Handwraps of Flowing Thought alone. Bye bye Robe of the Crimson order. And does Frostbolt no longer get double credit from Elemental Precision? Thought we frosties got to cheat and get a 6% bump from that talent.

You do. So you can pretty much ignore +hit in 5 mans.
