I REALLY would like to stay on my hunter if I can help it in the expansion, just because there will be a zillion DKs running around ("4 DK group LF healer" inc). Just so far everything for us seems.... bland, at best (lame at worst). If hunter doesn't have at least ONE thing that is new and cool (not just an ability that is a modification of something already in-game) I hate to say it I might join the multitudes of DKs.

Anyone else feel the same way? You really want to play your hunter, but you're just becoming less and less impressed with the hunter changes?

I have played a hunter since release beta, and I think i will stick with it, but I will def play around with a DK. I don't think he will be my focus though since everyone and their grandmother is going to have one. And doesn't it seem like they are going to possibly releasee more than one Hero class just do to the wording on the WOW site.

"Master the necromantic powers of the Death Knight - World of Warcraft's first Hero class."

The word first makes me think there could be more. Or they are just stating that it is the first. Could go either way. Never know.

I read something about demon hunter, but it was definitely not in anything official.

I haven't really been paying close attention to the WotLK hunter stuff yet. But, I have basically zero plans of ever rolling a DK. In addition to my 70 hunter, I have a 70 pally, and a 64 druid that I will get to 70 asap.

The idea of rolling another toon that I have to re-do the 55+ content over again makes me gag. I also have no desire to join the bajillion people that will be rolling DKs as soon as the expansion comes out. I'll have my hands full with leveling three toons to 80 anyway, although the hunter is getting first priority no matter what. My first roll and still my main and I plan to keep it that way.

If I could make a class like Illidan Stormrage (demon hunter) that would be pretty frickin sweet!

I'm actually in the beta, and so far I can say that Explosive Shot is completely OP. They'll probly nerf it of course, but as it stands, it does way to much damage. Don't get me wrong though I'm loving it. With such a low cooldown, and mass damage, I can take out clusters of mobs easily. It's great.

I personally will stick with my hunter, regardless of the changes they make. The group buffing that Survival is getting will surely save us a spot in the raids higher up. Not to mention no one is exactly sure how much damage we'll be able to to do at the higher ends. We have nothing to compare with atm on the beta since everyone is still testing out specs, as well as obtaining gear. When something is more well defined it will be easier to see exactly how we will do in the higher end.

Just give it some time though, and try not to jump to any hasty conclusions. Nothing is written in stone on the beta, and there's always room for change even when the expansion does come out.

My manager knows a guy who works for wow and said he could get me a key, well the guy wants $150.00. don't think it is worth it, unless I can keep my character @ 80 when the exp comes out lol (to bad that isn't gonna happen!)

That's kinda out context or I missed some relevance perhaps. Anyway, I rocked hunter pre-expansion, I'm rockin it now and I'll rock it after Lich King and my money says I'll still be more than viable DPS anywhere I go.

That works for me :D

Personally I live to beta games and expansions but I wouldn't pay that much for it. I think the most I ever paid was my membership here to get the occasional beta key offer.

I have my death knight's name reserved, but I doubt that I will do more than just make a few weeks after release and play through the "starting" zone to read the lore and see how it plays.

I've played my hunter since the day I started playing 2.5 years ago. I've played almost every class, and nothing sticks with me like a hunter.

Worth it to get into the Beta or worth it to get Explosive Shot? (Meant to say Explosive Shot in my original post, edit~)

Explosive Shot is definitely worth it =D Still working out the kinks of the shot rotation though. With Steady, Arcane, Multi, Kill Shot, and now Explosive Shot, it's going to take a bit to get into the hang of weaving shots. Not to mention how the gear has changed stat wise, as well as the haste mechanics.

As far as getting the beta, that's entirely up to you. For myself personally it's about what to expect for hunters for not only myself but the guild I play with. We're doing extensive research on each class to get prepared for the expansion. We have every class accounted for, and I'm the designated hunter of course. I just wish there was another hunter that could join me and spec into the BM or MM side of it, so I don't have to change from SV ;)

Spec costs are 1c on beta, just suck it up and respec. Smiley: tongue

I've been trying like 10 specs a day on my rogue just trying out talents.
