Forum is kind of slow these days, so I thought I would start the old goal thread....

My current goal is to get 2000 AP while being hit capped and maintaining 26% crit. Almost there, just need one more badge to buy the bloodlust brooch and the assassin's wristwraps(I need to replace the crit lost when I finally retire the bladefist breath). Now I have to find something else to work on I guess...Kara is on farm but we don't have enough to do 25 man content and a few guildies(about 5) need some drops before we can realistically try ZA.
Funny how quickly Kara goes from new and exciting to a badge.

What are your goals and how do you plan to achieve them?

Thanks for playing.

I want to get my crit up to 35% I am around 31% right now. Gotta get more epic gems for +agi to be able to do it plus keep my hit rating (arena by the way not raid goals). Damn the AH for being so expensive on my server.

Gems are crazy on my server - uncut they go for 45g for blues. The only gem prices that are going down are epics. Probably folks converting their badges to cash (man I wish I had no need of badges).

My goal is to Kill Illidan on a second character with a second guild. My paladin killed him, but I want to kill him on my hunter.

My goal is to clear Sunwell Plateau till WotLK comes out. Three more bosses to go. Hopefully we will make it, but our current progress is not that amazing :)

Mulgrin, from where I sit your current progress is beyond amazing. To give us beginners an idea of the commitment it takes to get where you are, how many hours/days a week do you have to raid to get to the true end game content? I am sure most of us will not see sunwell until we can 10 man it at 80, and then of course we will be too busy trying to get attuned for northrend content.

My guild was doing BT and recently disbanned. :( Lost a few people to the #1 guild on our server and they didnt want to restructure.
They raided 7 days a week
weekdays: 25mans
weekends: 10mans (ZA, alt kara runs) weekends weren't scheduled just thrown together.

I think I am done with 25mans, once WOTLK comes out and you can 10man the istances I'll just do that. Easier to get 10 than 25

Gear a little, but honestly it's more everyone signing on every single raid night (we raid 4 nights a week), on time. If we could get the exact same raid group every night we'd blow through content. As is, people always have a million excuses as to why they can't raid, and our raid group is always changing. I have the experience to teach people every fight, and we are decently geared (haven't killed any bosses that drop T6 yet, but we should drop one Monday).

It's more dedication than anything.

Dilbrt we have the same problem. What really urks me is my GM was East coast and most of us were West coast (raid time was 8:30 server) when I was stuck in Ft. lewis this was ok because we got off at 3:00 but now that I'm out of the army and had to get a real job hard to make those times. What sucks even worse almost every guild does same raid time. What happened to weekend raidings ><

We can usually only get one Kara run in a week, nobody will sign up for anything else really. What is strange is all of our core (12 people ATM but we are trying to grow) raiders are in game for the sames hours as we raid every night but many would rather play alts.

Weekends are the worst possible time to have raids. First off more people go out of town on weekends than weekdays. Second you only get a MAX of 3 days raiding (including Friday), which is OK if you're doing farm content, but isn't enough if you plan on having progression (unless you plan on having 5-6 hour long raids, which makes people get ADD).

If you're west coast, you might try to find another guild that is west coast.

Nah I have looked and alas none around, and there raid sessions are about 4-5hours each on a good day. I loved weekend (daytime) raids. At least I can get ZA done since they only raid it on weekends. ***** nevermind, guild broke apart)! I really want that timed event two axe. Last time it dropped a warrior got it over me ><

It requires really good teamwork and mostly not wasting time to progress much more than you need actual time.

For reference, the guild Cheeky is in (<Havoc>) raids 2 days a week and they are currently at 7 or 8/9 in BT and MH clear.
They down new bosses quite fast if you look at time alone.
However, they did their research and they dont waste any time.
They optimize their groups to the max, research what it takes to down new bosses and are disciplined at doing so and Cheeky is quite idiot intolerant. Smiley: tongue
The most common reason for a stop in progression is missing any of those things.

At least until Sunwell, Sunwell is a whole step above BT/MH.
Sunwell requires the same thing, only with a lot lower margin for error.
(even though it's not that noticeable, BT and MH have a LOT of room for error if you have a skilled and well balanced raid)

My goal is to learn voodoo to make my gear drop. My guild has 4/5 Hyjal on farm (2-hour clears), and I still have not gotten the Don Alejandro's (I've seen that one 3 times, though), I've never seen the Beast Tamer's shoulders or the pants from Azgalor drop. eh... Well, At least I have BT on Saturday. Hopefully shade of Akama and/or Supremus will stop hating me.

On a more serious note, My goals are to get up to 30% crit. Right now I have ~2100 AP, hitcapped and 28%ish crit as BM.

taken from wowwiki.com:

"The expansion will have as many 5-man instances as the previous expansion and all 25-man raids can also be completed as a 10-man group due to the popularity of Karazhan"
