Mark of DefianceFollow

Many have helped me make the recent switch from fire to arcane frost and we did lurker tonight and I have to say it was a blast. Increased my DPS significantly, had a boomkin and resto shaman in group. No SPriest so the high int route over crit helped.

I had a scryers bloodgem in there and this is obviously better, but is this a really good thing to use? Seems like it has a 15% proc rate and maybe a 16 second internal cooldown (info from EJ and Wowiki). Given this and an 8 minute fight, say it goes off every 20 seconds over an 8 minute fight I can get about 3600 mana using 150 as each mana regen proc, an average and for easy math. (Obviously a lot of room for good or bad RNG here). So that could mean if my math is right 3600/8 = 450 mana per minute. 450/12 = 37.5 MP/5.

If 37.5 MP5 is the number, with 32 damage on it that seems like a beasty trinket.

Now my questions are 1) Did I make any false assumptions 2) Did I do my math right=P? and 3) Is it a great trinket for arcane frost or am I dilusional? 40/0/21

Not a "hardcore" gamer to try and power level for the alchemy trinket so thats not an issue.

Looks like my math was right there. Many thanks. Looks like the Coil braid and an on use damage trinket is great (having that damage trinket for the IV or Arcane power times). So I will use this until I get there.

Finally so much later I get what was great about the lightning capacitator...THIS combo. Learn something knew every day.
