Class quests in other race's areasFollow

Hey, all!

I've got a bit of an unusual question. If you take a new rogue to another race's starting area, can you pick up the lockpicking and poison quests there, or do you need to return to your own area first?

I met up recently with an old friend I'd lost touch with, and we got to talking about WoW. He'd played briefly with some coworkers, who were all high-level raiders, and didn't really have time to play along with him. So, he lost interest and dropped out. I said I wouldn't mind rerolling if he wanted to pick it up again. He rolled a blood elf warlock, and I decided on an orc rogue.

Thus my question... Can I take my fledgling rogue over to the Ghostlands to quest along with my buddy and still pick up my class quests there, or would I need to head back to Durotaur? I know a hunter is required to get their pet-training quests from their own racial trainers, but is it the same for rogues?

Thanks in advance! :)

You'll be able to get a quest that requires you to recover a gem from a lock box in the troll ruins, although its not as easy as the Org one in Durotaur that has you go to the pirate ship near Ratchet. You'll have to find the lock boxes scattered throughout the tomb, as well as take out troll mummies near them. Much easier to go spend 10 min spamming the lock boxes on the ship IMO. :P

As for the poison quest, you'll get a generalized quest (similar to UC's, can complete both for exp/money too, but not much) to go and speak to the troll rogue in Org near the trainer, which will lead to the same quest that all Horde rogue's complete for poisons.
