Eye of Kilrogg bug???Follow

#1 Jul 24 2008 at 1:45 PM Rating: Decent
Not so long ago I went to the Alcaz Isle and there I noticed that my Eye of Kilrogg, instead of getting killed in one single blow was able to stand quite nicely against the mob's attacks. It was even able to stand up against Doctor Weavil, who hits for 700-1100 damage! My guess is that the Eye had around 2500 health or so...
However my greatest surprise was when I was running people through Uldaman and ROFLMAO I used the Eye, right-clicked on a mob, and it ATTACKED. And it started to hit the mob for around 150 damage a swing...The fight took end with the mob at half-health and the timer on the Eye finished...
Has anyone experienced something like this?

the eye has been able to attack since patch 2.2 I think (but only mobs, not players), I've noticed the same thing about the health. personnally I think it's so that you can use it to pull mobs away... that or for when you're really bored and want to mess around :) hehe

how more freaked out would you be seeing a an eye of kilrogg kill you after you loose a duel? :P you could do that in the beta test of the patch that introduced the change to the eye, was so funny hiding near the front of org and sending my eye off to kill anyone who lost a duel :D you also got full honor with no DR either which rocked :) hehe

Made some tests of the Eye of Kilrogg against level 71-72 Gordunni ogres in the Barrier Hills, as a lvl 70 warlock. Here's what I noticed.

-The eye seems to have a small amount of armor, maybe even none at all given that the mobs were hitting it for 300-400 damage. I think that normally they hit for much less but I've not killed them a lot so I can't be sure. However it seems to have more health than my previous estimation, maybe 3000-3500 health.
-The eye hits for about 80-110 damage, depending on the armor. A standard warrior mob receives 80-90 damage while shaman-type mobs received 100-110 damage.
-The eye can be used to pull a mob from very far away. For this you must make it drag the mob very close to you and cast an instant spell before even dismissing it. If done incorrectly the mob will run away evading your spells.
-In the same way the eye can be used to pull a mob far away if he stands in your way, and while the mob runs back to his spot you may be able to pass.
-The eye can be dazed.
-The eye is, interestingly, affected by the Back Breaker's Enraging Strike (a powerful attack that enrages the victim). It gives a blood-red eye, of a color similar to the C'Thun's Eyeball when it casts Dark Glare.

If someone has more info, please share.

if you're demonology spec'd you can summon the eye so that your pet will temporarily despawn for the simple purpose of avoiding aoe damage (najentus being a prime example)
