Heya all,

So I hit 70. Danced the happy dance and now I'm stuck. Ended up not staying on the server I leveled on because I switched to the server my family started playing on. I have been looking over the forums (here and others) as to what to do now and I determined that I should PvP for at least some gear. Well and dandy, PvP isn't necessarily my cup of tea but I suspect thats because I suck at it :-D. I have no Enhancement gear (went in as Ele with my blue gear and got owned really badly). So I got a set of basic greens (most of the Soldier with some of the Tiger, of the Gorilla, and of the Bandit thrown in) and then started out in WSG. Did slightly better then when I was Ele even in all the greens.

So thats the situation. Any advice on how to proceed as a level 70 with no guild support on a new server? I have tried looking for guilds that are 5-man/Heroic to be able to gear up better but no luck so far. Thought I would drop in here and see what all the knowledgable people think.

Thank you for your time.

Might want to post what server you are now on. Also, you moved to the server to play with your family... not to sound like a complete A$$, but... I think what you should do now is play with your family.

Moved to Madoran.

Family isn't 70 yet. I really don't want to run another toon to 70 without exploring more end-game content with my shaman. Ty for the suggestions though. Hopefully I will get more

You could work on rep to get the Seer's set; you need only honored in each of the factions. It is a nice starter set for PvP as it has a little bit of resiliance. As another bonus, Shamans get three distinct sets for the same reputation - one for each talent tree - meaning you can work on some starter gear for all three specs with the same grind.

Other than that, yes, just work on the PvP gear. If you're going for Enhancement then start off with the weapons; you'll notice a huge leap in your ability as soon as you get these.

Thank you SO much! That Seer set is a lot better then what I had so I picked up the full Enh set. Any other suggestions? That alone will make everything else so much easier then it was (replacing 5 greens with 5 blues with PvP stats was awesome!)

just look around for any other rep gear that may help you, if your a weapon smith start making those weapons and just bust your *** in pvp to upgrade your gear and weapons, the stuff is pretty decent for solo and kara.

Also check out heroic gear may be something out there that you can pick up too.

As JM stated, heroics are a great way to not only pick up a couple pieces of gear, but also to pick up badges for even better gear.

The nice thing about being enhance is that you're dps, so you can go into heroics being slightly less geared than maybe you want, but you aren't a tank or healer that is gonna wipe the run. ( I tend to have more problems when I'm overgeared compared to the tank due to threat issues)

So you can run in, drop your totems (love magma if you have a pally tanking since you can drop it almost immediately if they have consecrate out to boost your dps) and do decent dps and pick up some nice stuff for yourself.

My first two additions after the seer set when I respec'd from ele to enh was the badge Offhand Fist weapon from SSO (45 badges) 2.50 speed mmmm 103dps *drools* and the Mainhand Fist weapon from PVP (18,000 honor and 20 EotS marks). 97 dps 2.60 speed. (I did throw Mongoose on both of them)

With those in my hands and even in mostly blue's (name and realm are in sig if you wanna check it out) I am still putting out between 600-750 dps in 5's and 10's.

Anyway my advice is to find a pally tank to make friends with, run everything you can with him/her and thank god that salv works sometimes :-)

*edit: I'm logged out in my PVE Gear that I run heroics/raids in. My PVP gear just consists of Head, Gloves, Chest and Shoulders of the Seer rep gear.

Ok. I spent some gold, and bought all of the Seer's set. But I'm pretty sure I also fubar'ed my spec. Just read an Enhancement PvP guide for BG's and according to that I'm really really fubar'ed. So I thought I would post my Armory link to see if someone would maybe show me what I did wrong. I know I probably should have did the Shield Talent instead of AK and I need a shield to go with my primary weapon. I only managed to rack up ~4k honor, but I did get 19 WSG Marks and a smattering of ones from the other BG's. I figure once I respec with a shield I would try out EotS again. I did it twice and we won once (pretty close actually) and then got stomped the second time I went in.

So, heres the Armory link Tyrvanis Armory

Also, please check out the gear and see if the gems make since (greens but its what i had on me and I am a JC so I can find/farm/get designs for better if I need to)

Thank you again for all the help. I had a blast in the Bg's even though I died way to many times. Actually the first time I have really had fun at the PvP stuff in WoW.
