WTF ... it dodged my KS !!Follow

So, you've spent the last 2-3 seconds building up precious CP's while the B@stard mob has been locked down by your CS. You've now got 4 or 5 CP's that you're ready to unleash on the mob just as CS wears off, in order to further doom the sucker to another 6 seconds of standing there while you slice and dice his ***.

Then the unthinkable happens, either through quirky mechanics, allowing the mob to do this while still stunned, or due to the fact that CS wore off a split second earlier than expected, the mob Dodges you KS ... WTF.

Now what ... you still have those 5 lovely CP's, but you KS is on CD, and you have energy to spare. It's crazy, but generally in my panic, I throw up a 5 pt SnD (lawlz), which seems like as massive waste. What's the next best option to use those 5 points on. The options, as I see them, are :

1) SnD ... as I said, seems like a massive waste, as the mob is already half health at the stage, and 5s would last a heck of a lot longer than that.
2) Rupture ... same as above - seems like a terrible waste of so many cp's for a mob that'll only last another 5 more seconds.
3) EA ... might go a long way to helping burn through the second 50% of the mob's HP
4) Evis ... now ... a 5 pt Evis seems like the best idea to me, and is probably a no brainer, but I still have to check - perhaps I'm missing something.

Now I might be mistaken, but I'm sure I can hear shouts and screams of "WTH, it'll be dead in a few seconds, why the hell do you care", and I guess you'd be right. But what if I'm fighting a nastier mob than normal (maybe an easy elite - yes, you do get them ;->), and a fair portion of my initial attacks didn't crit, or were dodged / parried, etc. This could potentially place the mob at around 80% or so hp - meaning the fight could go on a little longer (something for which the KS would have done the world of good), and the correct use of the CP's could count more in my favour that the incorrect use thereof.

Again, this is simply pure theory, as fighting a single mob while questing should be the very least of my rogue worries, and normal resumption of rotations will result in a dead mob quickly.

Assuming you are sword spec you would probably do best with just throwing the slice and dice in there and beating them up with some more SS.

Mutilate spec you would probably just throw a Gouge in there (beware DP ticks if you are using it) and get behind in order to get that final muti in. An even level mob should not be alive much longer after that.

If it's something with enough health to live the duration, I'll use Rupture to get the most damage out of my CPs. On the other hand, for a normal mob, I usually SnD in order to have it up for the rest of this mob's short life and for the next target I go after.

On grinding or daily trash I use eviscerate. Ends the fight instantly usually.

In PVP i use EA, unless its a rogue then i rupture. Even though EA isnt exactly the best thing to use, against clothes and leathers, and even mail users to an extent, its a considerable damage boost that can help you shave those last bits off.

Pretty much my approach as well. Except if it's an "easy elite" (or a highly-armored mob with still > 50% health) as the OP suggested, I'd use rupture, then a 1 or 2 pt SnD (I usually have 1 CP following a finisher, + maybe one more if I get a dodge/parry or two in there).

In PVP, I'll use rupture most of the time, unless the player 1)is either almost dead, or 2) clearly has little to no resilience. These I'd eviscerate. EA I only use on clothies, and occasionally leathers, never on mail or higher, maybe that's just me.

If there are other mobs to deal with quickly I'll use SnD. Rupture if the mob has enough health. Otherwise I'll just evis.

I like to SnD and the move on to the next mob killing them that much quicker.
