Hey everyone. Well I decided to spec survival, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips/ Ideas for upgrades ;)

Thats my armory.

Thanks for your time!

- enchant your gear (like gloves, helm, cloak, ranged weapon, boots, pants)
- get more items which have agi as a stat (like change your melee weapon and the kara rep ring)
- change your talent spec. 0/20/41 without readiness is not a good idea. If you don't want readiness go for a 5/20/36 build with improved aspect of the hawk.

As Mulgrin said, get enchants on all of your gear for agi and make sure to pick up as much agi stacked gear as you can. You should have over 600 agi unbuffed after LR if I am not corrected?

Ty for the Ideas :) Right now I'm working on getting mats for other agility enchants and im working on getting better agility gems. What would you suggest I try to get for a weapon for survival? So with agility stacked gear, should I focus on gear that has more agility even if it is giving up some other stats?

Edit: I's can spells good!

Do kara runs for the legacy for PVE, but for PVP your weapon is good, imo

Also get rid of those +hit and +agi gems. With surefooted you get an extra 3% to your hit. That makes up for it.

Ok Thanks. So would legacy probably be my best bet for a weapon? Also im looking at survival builds, and I can't really seem to choose which ones are best, what would you all recommend?

A couple of suggestions for you. Before you spec into survival I would recomend hitting 600-650 agility before you spec into LR. If you are raiding and you are the only SV specd hunter in the raid then it is ideal to get as much agi as possible w/out losing too much hit rating. For me my ideal hit rating is at about 90-95. In most raids I can keep a good amount of sustained dps up and stay slightly above the BM hunters I am raiding with.

As for gear, I would suggest getting the Badge gear from SSO first. Run heroic magisters a few times to get the ranger lord tunic(it has tons of agi on it). Legacy is a very good weapon to use for all specs of the hunters, I would recomend you get Sonic Spear because it has a high hit rating on it(until you can get Legacy). I would suggest trying to maximize your overall agi as best you can w/out sacrificing much else. It all depends on your play style though. I can give you a couple of links that might help you out if you need any. I hope this helps...everyone is different though..some may agree and some may not.

Just a word from my experience. The sonic spear has a horrid drop rate, but as does legacy. I spent more time going for that damned spear then the axe though. If you run ZA (not sure if you do or not) timed chest 2 has a AWESOME 2hd axe. I have yet to see it drop but when it does that mfer is mine...!

Lol! Tell me about it...I farmed Slabs for a week and got it on my 10th run....warrior was determined it was a warrior only weapon(too many hits to the head methinks)....but Legacy it about the same drop rate lol.

As for links with specing into survival here is a couple:

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=5286959516&sid=1

The one I would recomend is not up but I will see if I can find it on a different site.

There are a couple of survival dps macros I can show you, helps me stay on top of the dps charts without losing too much mana.

Feel free to PM me if you want some help or ideas on how you want to spec. Let me say this again...how you spec is totaly up to you and your playstyle....do whats fun for you.

Well guys,

It seems a SV need more agi for the EW. But I've found out in MM tree there is a CE (Combat Experience). So, I have try it out last night and here its the link. And please give me your advice about this.

Skapp,

In my opinion and exp in the MM tree...the talent CE would only be a real benefit to the MM hunter if you spec into careful aim. It would increase your overall RaP beacuse of that. The only downside I can see of that spec is the EW at 1...33% chance on crit isnt a whole lot but I have to ask, what is your crit rating at? The spec isn't that bad but to each their own. I'll have to give a build similar to that a try and test out the dps on Dr. Boom.
#15 Jul 23 2008 at 11:09 PM Rating: Decent
Hi dgallant,

Well, my crit is only 28.5% or you can find it all at http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Aszune&n=Skapp :)).

Skapp,

I tried that spec you linked. I have about the same crit rate as you...give or take about a .10% difference. With the spec you linked I saw EW procing between every 3rd and 4th ranged crit. The only real difference is that with CE it only added about 14agi for me...from 750 to 764 and not a whole lot of crit. My opinion is this..CE works best with Careful aim beacause it focuses more with Int and RaP. If you want to stick with that spec then here is a variation of that....http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cZVibRmzGZIh0RxcMhV0o (it adds more range crit but you lose the barrage talent and scatter shot). Hope this helps lol.

What are you looking at doing? heroics/raid or pvp? That really determines the spec your going to use. I personally use BM to raid and MM/SV for pvp but that is just me.

Hi,

Actually I'm looking for the raid :)). But I've respec back to 5/20/36.

I was searching around for other weapons with agility and i came across Stellaris I went on to cheeky and saw that if i got 2 of then with the +20 enchants, I would have about 720 agility with LR, any thaughts?

A lot of people at Elitist Jerks and TKA Something will tell SV hunters that the 5/20/36 or 7/20/34 builds really only shine with the 4-piece T6 set bonus and enough hasting effects to maintain a 3:2 rotation... So essentially, very late progression. From what I gather, the reason for this is IAotH puts most SV hunters at an awkward attack speed that is too fast for a 1:1.5 and too slow for a 3:2 rotation.

If you have over 1000 raid-buffed Agi, then having Combat Experience is pretty significant, since it will increase your Agi by 20. Before 1000 buffed Agi, you'll probably want to stick with a 0/20/41 build with Readiness.

That's what I roll with. Works pretty well for me. Cheeky's shows it higher for me than 5/20/36 and gives room for some extra trapping talents for heroics. I may try another build to pick up readiness pretty soon though.

Any insight on this for SV? Or should I just stay spec'd BM till I can get my hands on legacy?

Legacy + 35agi enchant = 75 agi
Stellaris x2 + 40 agi enchants = 82agi

Go with the blue 1h weapons!

Or even better yet, you can get x2 Breeching Comet, gem them with +10 agi, and you won't replace those until Hyjal/BT.

Man I really need to do heroic magister's when I start caring and really doing more than just dailies again.

Hell, I've had my Badge bow for about a month now and don't even have a +dmg scope on it. >_>

Good luck on finding a good enough group to finish H MgT. It's hard to find one that can actually do it, I've been going for the chest and Breeching Comet for a while now and all of my groups have sucked.
