my warrior is close to 375 blacksmithing. I'm getting ready to craft the first chest piece in this set, Breastplate of Kings http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=28483;source=live
Is this chest piece worth crafting? I have all the mats, (which cost a considerable amount), but before i use them and potentially waste them, i need to know if this chest piece is worth it. Obviously, my goal would be to make the last piece, the Bulwark of the Ancient Kings http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=28485;source=live
So before i spend even more gold and time on more mats for this chest piece, i would like advice on whether or not to craft this.

I have it on my warrior and its one of the Best fury peices or more like "was". I think Brutal Chest is better now for Fury but if you dont Arena alot then its one of the best you will see for awhile.

First, search for a chest piece that is better, then determine how long it would take to get it. are you willing to wait that long? If not then make your chest.
to be honest for tanking its not bad at all. It has alot of Stam and Armor and if you put Stam gems in it my spreadsheet says its better then the chest from Nightbane. If you have already done your entire Armorsmith questline then make it.
Just to add my $.02, I'm also a prot spec'ed warrior, I have made myself this chest piece, and, since I'm also JC, have made myself a solid star of elune, and 2 enduring talasites for the gem's.
I can take a WHOLE lotta hits, and with the Fel Edged Battleaxe I use as my primary weapon (gem'ed with 10 str) I hold hate real well.
I highly recommend this chest piece for tanking. The almost 1900 armor, plus the 1500 and 150 on use is a damn nice bonus. Couple all of that with a clefthide leg armor kit, and heavy knothide armor kits on all the pieces applicable, and you're a tanking machine IMHO.
