Armoury Link
Currently I am sitting on 680. I know I have a couple of pieces to upgrade (cloak especially) but they aren't going to get me the 320+ I need to get anyone to look at me for a Raid. I rarely PVP due to our Battlegroup sucking, I got my bracers and don't want to go back. I also realise there are missing gems and they will be purchased over the next few days.
Someone throw me some suggestions on how to get that dmg up to 1k+. What gear to get, enchants, gems etc.

Nah, it's fine I reckon and that is THE definitive gear list. It's what I use to decide on whether to take pieces at raids.

I'm stuck with badge gear /kara because no time to do seroius raiding :/ ..

Ha ha! Not quite...
Farming Kara now though. Making inroads into ZA and have downed Gruul. Not touched Maggy yet.
Still farming badges too, myself. I have a couple of 'gaps' yet.

I reckon you're saving badges for pants and chest ? I had same chest and replaced it with boe Will of Edward the Odd ,i still have nightbane chest but I'm not sure which is better :p

Badges for ring, chest (Edward thing is awful in my opinion!) and boots.
For pants there's only one option. Spellstrike. Bloody amazing and I have the hood already for the set bonus.
I do have a stable, progressing guild, that's true...but it's hard work keeping it going. We lost our top rated rogue to a TK guild because we're going too slow. And we're going too slow because as we try to gear people up, they reveal they are complete idiots OR they aren't on regularly enough to continue reaching Gruul/ZA level.

FFS thanks for helping me out here guys. If you had taken the time to look at my armoury link you would see I already have spellstrike pants and hood.
I am aiming for belt of blasting next and hope to update my cloak along the way.
Thanks for the link tho, I will give it a good read and see what I can do.
BTW I think guild recruitment is -----> that way.

OK, hope this is nice and on topic for you-
You are currently sitting on 680 spellpower, however you are actually sitting on 859 bonus shadow damage which is the stat that matters. This leaves you only needing 141 damage to reach the 1k you are after.
You have actually, and i bet its quite rare this happens, got too much spell hit. You are currently 5 over the cap and are wasting gems on it, especially when you put 3 points in suppression lowering your cap to 164 for all your affliction spells. reslot your gems for 164 hit, or take the points out and slot for 202.
you're missing bracer spellpower(+12 damage), glyph of power (22 damage 14 hit), a scryer/aldor inscription (spell damage or crit or both), and you can also get better thread for your pants or a better weapon enchant. (but soulfrost would be the epitomy of overkill on your weapon)
To be honest you wont need much more spellpower than you have for kara, with capped spellhit your dps will be fine for bosses. Of course if i were you i would either grit my teeth and grind AV for the S2 dagger or staff (Which you would not change for eons) or farm heroics for the badge dagger (just as good if not better, but will take longer), in fact i can think of quite a few upgrades you can get from badges both in shatt and on quel'danas.
Also- if you hate BGs so much drop the points in improved howl of terror and curse of exhaustion, put them in malediction :P

With the hit thing, don't stop gemming for it. You're currently getting ~50 hit from trinkets, which can be traded for damage ones much more efficiently than gems. Also, don't bother re-speccing as min-maxing is absolutely useless at Kara level.
As for battlegrounds, buy the rep gear and try to get into a pre-made, that will make it a lot less painful.

Mouse over your spellpower and it will tell you how much of each type of magic, i was looking at shadow. :)
I agree with germa actually that you should keep the hit gems and think about new trinkets, Icon of the silver crescent (shatt badge vendor) i still use and the trinket from heroic MgT is pretty amazing for affliction.
Timbal's Focussing Crystal. Or summat. Is V nice for Aff lock's.
For Destro - I still use Xiri's Gift.
