Shanker vs ShivFollow

I stopped following the "debate" many months ago when I gave up on my Rogue in favor of my Warrior. Last time I checked the arguments heavily favored using a shanker in your offhand for mutilate builds. I have recently (today actually hah) picked back up my Rogue and I'm going to respec mutilate since I find ShS mind-numbingly boring.

My plan was to run with dual shankers and have a shiv enchanted and poisoned in my backpack to weapon swap for situational poison usage. However before I commit to this (i.e. buy daggers and enchant them) I need a bit of confirmation on this idea.

Would using shanker/shiv and having an additional shiv ready for alternate poisons be better? Or is shanker/shanker with a shiv to swap be best?

No real need to put out any big math crunches. Just general confirmation is o.k.

Also I should note I plan on using 44/0/17 or a slight variation. I will be doing some arena as mutilate but if I get serious about arena on my rogue again I will most likely respec ShS just to ensure I'm not gimping myself in any way (then respec back to mutilate for fun in the BGs)

Only bads find ShS boring.

Shiv is fine for mut, though shanker is unarguably better for the spec.

Weapon swaps are only really useful for ShS specs; you won't see many mut rogues switch to a mind numbing offhand for a quick shiv. Most of the time they'd switch to another offhand with wound on it to stack faster, but that's about it.

How so? So your saying that if I find ShS boring then I'm bad...

I'm sorry but just because you love ShS so much that it's the only spec you find fun doesn't mean that if someone finds it boring that they're bad... Neilyo for example likes mutilate so therefore he is bad?

He also likes ShS. Did you miss that he's been ShS since the middle of S3, and before that he was HARP?

I'm saying that mut is more boring than ShS. If you think having to run behind an opponent is entertaining, then good for you; you're easily amused.

As mut, you have 1) less abilities, 2) more positioning work to do, and 3) an inferior build that's easily kited.

I'm saying that if you're bad, you don't understand how to play ShS outside of hemo spam, thus bads find ShS boring.

The good players like ShS. Not because it's not boring, but because we like winning, and right now it's the only build we can play as and win reliably, unless a team caters to us.

ShS is boring... It's too easy to remain on target and to win... It's over powered atm, thus I like mutilate because I enjoy a challenge and love to be so much better then people that I can beat them as an inferior play style, so ergo I like mutilate and I am not bad.

If challenge is what you want then naked you shall play. Or take some tuxedo things and act like a mad lawyer :)
