In case you didn't know use hellfire just as mage finishes off casting poly and you wont be turned into sheep/turtle/pig.
I'm not sure if this is something everyone knows but I found that out only just recently !

Well technically you will be turned into a sheep for about half a second...

Good tip (just like priests use SW:D). Too bad hellfire costs a damn huge amount of mana :(

Of course ,you should be using rank 1.

Nah ,you just kinda flip out of sheep back to normal, you do get sheep for split second but no hp back.
Think it also counts as 1 dr (diminishing return)

This has been known for quite a while. Its pretty useless as well, because you need to proc it at exactly the right time for it to work. Felhunter devour > Hellfire.

Just in case any new players missed it, the OP was from before the patch that addressed downranking. AFAIK, you no longer gain any benefit from downranking to rank 1 in PVP. Actually, I think that mana cost might go up compared with max rank.

Advice on downranking was correct when it was given (July), but no longer applies due to downranking mana mechanic changes.
