Can't make my mind upFollow

#1 Jul 17 2008 at 11:32 AM Rating: Default
I'm having trouble making my mind up on whether I should be a human rogue or an undead(forsaken whatever)rogue.

If you guys could help me out here it would be awesome.

I just need stuff like the strongest to play with, most fun, better in the long run kind of stuff. You can add whatever you feel would tip towards that character.

Pick Horde or Alliance, problem solved.

Human expertise, Perception and to a very small extent Diplomacy are epic.

I also read that cannabalize and will of the forsaken are almost the best thing for a rogue ant comment on those things?

Dude... read the sticky. It's in there. Unless you want someone to tell you what to do... in that case:

Roll an undead rogue.... and before you ask...

Combat Swords.

Let's also look at personal preference.

If you enjoy PvP, I'd say it'd probably be best to roll undead, WotF is a very powerful PvP skill and the fact that the Horde generally does much better in BGs helps a lot too.

Now if you're more into PvE, I'd go with the human rogue, since the expertise makes reaching the expertise cap so much easier and the extra diplomacy allows you to reap the benefits of Faction Reputations a bit earlier.

Of course, Perception is also a very powerful PvP skill but only against other rogues (and sometimes druids)

I would vote for human, perception is huge in arena. Expertise is a nice touch. Lack of a fear break hurts, but I think perception absolutely makes up for it in an arena setting setting. And arena is the only thing that matters.

Human as of this moment are the perfect rogues.

If you think you need WotF in arena, you're probably bad. Smiley: frown

Alright it seems human is the winner so I'll go with that.

I just want to kill all in PvP so I think I made the right choice

It takes more than Perception to kill a good rogue. Getting the jump is HUGE, but I have other rogues get the jump on me while I'm killing something else often and I kill them more than they kill me. Its kinda like the World of Roguecraft videos say "When little kids in school ask what class to play in WoW all their friend say Rogue." Good Luck, and I hope your in the Nightfall BG so we can meet someday.

On the other hand, a good rogue with perception is nigh untouchable.

A good rogue doesn't get caught by perception in arena. He practices the method known as "not crossing the Nagrand Arena bridge in the first minute if you're not a human rogue". A subtle and potent technique that few seem to be able to utilise.

The amount of teams that get caught by perception allowing you an easy 15-19 point win is absurd.

It is.

It's just most people are idiots.

Yeah, you kill rogues more than they kill you even if they jump on you while you're another target. Either you have much better gear or much better skill. Congratulations, you're the best. In both cases, totally irrelevant for the question asked.

If you want to play areneas, go human, no question asked. If you have doubt, download arena rogues' videos and note the difference: the human rogues activates perception and goes hunting. Can easily see other rogues and druids, chooses whoever he wants to sap (or multisap to unstealth all), then open on a target. It's just huge. Now that I've seen that, tbh, I'm afraid to go out hunting as a NE rogue... and I'm rerolling a human.

So if you want to do arenas, here's my advice: human all the way.
