I checked WoWwiki and the like, but cannot find the amount of spelldamage that affects the imp's firebolt. I was wondering if any of you have found this info.

presuming it's affected by the same coefficient rules as player abilities for a 2second cast...
2/3.5 = 57.14% +dmg coefficient (the imps +dmg, not ours)

Thats what I was thinking, but seeing as it is a pet, I did not know for sure.
I'm in the same situation... though I'll presume its abilities do follow the same laws as ours.
easiest way to test it would be to unequip all of your gear. record your pets average firebolts across a sample size of say 10, then equip all your gear. record how much +damage the pet gains from it, work out how much of a damage bonus the firebolt should get using the coefficient of 57.14% and then record another 10 firebolts. if the average is very similar to the 'gear unequiped-firebolt' data+ predicted damage bonus then you'll have your answer :)

Good idea. Only problem is that I am level 25 with 18 spelldamage. That won't be very accurate :(
Just confirmed. 54 warlock, 34 spell damage to pets, no modifiers to pet damage (affliction)
Average damage, base: 55.5
Amount of damage added onto Firebolt at (2/3.5)%: 20
Average Firebolt cast: 75
Average damage, base: 55.5
