Hey guys~

I didn't get a chance to play last night, but am a little sadface that they decided to whack us with the nerf bat a few weeks after I started playing my rogue again. :(

So... how is it? My resilience is sub-crappy so the CD change will probably burn a little more for me than most of you more geared rogues, but I'm curious if anyone noticed a huge difference in BGs or Arena?

I heard the same response from the 2 gladiator rogues in my guild.

385 resilience, not very noticeable.

Then again, I usually don't get very low on HP.

Cheat Death is a crutch for bad rogues. Good rogues care more about the hemo nerf.

My Cheat Death procs still have ~80% reduced damage.

It's a good fallout though. If you get really low on HP you can think "Regardless I won't die just yet, I've got a guaranteed 3 seconds extra thanks to Cheat Death. Those are gone for me.

I think it's funny that in the patch notes they don't (at least I'm PRETTY sure they don't) mention the 5% hemo nerf. Just the CD one.

Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

They do.

It was in the latest PTR build, and was noted in the patch notes at 2.4.3 went live.

Thanks Theo.

You just shot down my WHOLE conspiracy theory against our class.

:)

EDIT:

Maybe my conspiracy theory isn't all half-baked. In the notes posted on Alla's homepage, I went back and couldn't find anything about the Hemo % decrease.

I'm at work so I can't check the notes that came along with the patch.

Where's Scully and Mulder when I need them?

What is the formula for resilience in regards to the cheat death proc percentage? I've forgotten, and know it's in a post 4 or 5 pages deep but couldn't find it.

Four times the crit damage reduction from resilience.

Four? Wasn't it three?

Edit: It has to be... I've got -20% crit damage from my resilience.... four times would mean I'd be on 80%, only a 10% difference from the 90% I had. And last time cheat death procced I died 1 second later anyway.

It's four.

Cheat Death still works almost the exact same for me post-nerf.

I die a tiny bit faster, but that's it.

Same Theo. I personally don't mind the Nerf considering all I do is PvP. It realistically isn't fair that you could rock 4/5 S3 and 4 pieces of T6 and have like 2.5k AP and still get the full benefit of cheat death. No other class could wear PvE gear and get that much AP/Spell Damage without paying for it badly. Besides it seems most of the top rogues I see on sk-gaming's arena stats page have glad title and alot ot T6. Which to me means they play a little too much anyways. It kinda made it harder for the casual players who have a life outside of WoW. So, I think it wasn't that big of a deal.

Only a 10% difference from the total. You'll take 200% more damage than you would have previously.

A large difference.

That is seriously odd. Whenever I used to cheat death all things that hit me simply got a 0 removed from them, resulting in me getting hit for around 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80. Now whenever cheat death procs I just... die ? If it's really 10% it shouldn't make thát much a difference or is it just me going nuts?

If you'd normally get hit for 1700, with the old cheat death you'd get hit for 170.

With 394 resilience (80% reduced), you'd get hit for 340.

Is it shocking that you die faster?
