Hey guys, i've rolled a hunter and looked at some PvP spec's.
so i just want you pro-hunter guys to tell the good and bads (and why (: ) about this spec: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cZVVmoEzhxotchzGtb.

And if you think it really suck, then a link to a better pvp spec would be nice :P

Hey,

Your post pre-empted one I was going to place myself on this subject.

Basically I have always played a hunter and always played PVE and am OK geared. I decided to do some arena to get the axe and am not a pvp fan at all. However, got to say I love arena, I play a 2 v 2 team with my Son's enhancememt Shammy. For the last two weeks been playing as BM and doing ok but only winning approx two thirds of matches.

Last night I decdied to respec survival all the way to readiness and have to say that it is fantastic. The combination of the shorter cd on traps, wyvern sting and readiness make for a lethal combination. We managed to down all sorts of groups, including palys, druids, rogues and mages, which we had previously struggled with to varying degrees.

I simply sleep one and we nuke the other, if one is stealthed we nuke the one showing and then i sleep the other when they show, or a variation on that theme.

I can not speak for its effectiveness in wider pvp but its great in arena for me.

Bye

11/41/9 is the standard hunter 2v2 and 3v3 spec, what you posted used to be close to the standard pvp build.
The reason for going 11 points in BM is because you get both imp. revive, making reviving a pet midgame possible and the runspeed bonus for pets so they can keep up with a ghostwolf or travel form druid to keep them in combat and prevent them drinking.

For playing wth another dps, especially an enh. shaman I would go with something like 0/27/34 to maximize the CC you have so you can (more or less) completely lock 1 opponent out of the game while you both burst down the other.

Playing with a scorpid is madatory ofcourse, you need the scorpid sting to cover up Viper stings when you are draining someone.
