Hi All

I have recently swapped over healing both raid and heroic from my Pally to my druid (pallys gone retri for a pace chance and so he can actually kill something in less than 5 minutes).
One thing I have found is although druid is more fun than pally for the heal variety I really do get hammered when a mob takes an interest in me rather than the tank.
Just wondered how you other resto druids deal with it? At the moment the only thing I tend to do is go bear form for a sec and hope the tank can get the mob off me before he beats on me too much.
With my pally it was a hell of a lot easier as you had bubble and a shed load of plate to survive in fact in certain heroics I could almost heal tank the lesser mobs.
Any suggestions to increase my survivability would be appreciated as Heroic Shattered halls the other night with one of our warrior tanks was a bit of an eye opener for me.

Cheers Zetter

Wear leather, get a few PvP hea pieces for times when you know you're going to get hit and shift into bear. Also don't forget Barkskin. There's also a few aggro reducing trinkets out there, but we don't really have any 'oh shi- buttons like paladins or priests.

5/5 Subtlety and the Subtlety enchant will help. Also if you can manage it, get a pally tank for salv or befriend the best ret pally you know (the one I know actually does around 800 dps) and have him come with your for salv. If you have all of these its 52% lesser threat.

After all of this, make sure to not burst heal so much because burst healing is where a majority of your threat will come from. Even though resto druids have the constant aggro build because of hots, the tank should have enough threat build up to over come your heals. If you do in fact pull aggro it's best to watch for it and throw up heals on yourself, barkskin and then go to bear form, when I do this I usually get my mitigation to about 70%. I know this because I make root pulls leading up to Janalai in ZA and 4 guys running at me generally scares the hell out of me when I'm a squishy little tree.

Also, another thing to remember is the heal/threat ratio. For every 1 point of healing its .5 points of threat, so you could gauge yourself off of that as well.

Just a quick snippet for shattered halls, if you don't have the CC, a warrior tank is not good for shattered halls.
