I've been reading Shadowpanther.net recently for all things Rogue Related. From learning about EAP / MAEP, to looking at numerous charts full of gears for all levels, charts of gear for optimum raid levels, levelling tips, etc, etc.

Overall, it seems (to my eyes) that he knows what he's talking about to quite a high degree.

This may be a noob question (being relatively new the the Rogue world), but is his site a reliable resource for all things rogueish, or are there some things I should take with a pinch of salt.

Before you ask .. No, there's nothing there I need to question (everything looks just peachy), it's just that I have been following his tables / info for a little while now, and just need to know if I'm on the right track.

tks all.

That website is ok, but i would reccomend you to use that mythical spreadsheet. ;)

Really it is first thing you need as a raiding rogue.

Look on elitist jerks forum also, many good information about your class are there.

Edit: spreadsheet for pve ofc. :)

It seems pretty accurate, I have used it many times for PVP and PVE.

The thing is ... my rogue is still levelling (63 atm) .. the spreadsheet is only accurate for raiding scenarios (taking into account buffs, fight length, etc) (Although, it does seem to provide a reasonably accurate reflection of how one piece rates compared to another)

What I was specifically looking at was his assessment of gear while levelling, and if his recommendations on what the best pieces are at specific levels are accurate. He has pretty comprhensive lists detailing weapons and gear for 10 level brackets (eg 40-49 50-59, etc), starter level 70 gear/weapons and raid level weapons. All are ranked using AEP (PvP) and MAEP (PvE). He even has some general rogue and levelling tips which seem fairly solid.

It all seems very good, and I was thinking of pointing some buddies there, but just wanted to get an idea as to whether or not it's a reliable resource or not.

It is reliable source and i recommend shadowpanther.net. It can have somewhere some mistakes but all in all it is good source. Besides while you are leveling, you change gear a lot, and tbh leveling rogue is easy. :)

But yes it is reliable source. :)

Heh, my problem is that I'm a touch obssesive - I tend to HAVE to be the best I can at every level, even though I know things will change in a level or 2 ... I promised myself I wouldn't do that with this character, a promise which I kept for all of ... hmmm, 15 level ;-), after that - back to the same obsession ;-)

Add to that the fact that it difficult for me to run instances of any description, so that obsession must be fed from BoE drops, crafted items and quest rewards ... and Shadowpanther appears to be THE resource that details the best from those categories.
