I've been using the spreadsheet for awhile and for awhile it was my main point of reference for any gear choice, still is up there but now I mostly do all the calculations myself. Anyway, if you take a look at my armory you'll notice my hit is fairly low, but the spreadsheet keeps showing that optimally I should be gemming almost straight agi, which I know I get more dps per point from hit then straight agi.

The only reason I can think of is that it is impossible to formulate hit cap and the RNG from misses into dps calculations so the spreadsheet throws itself off. I don't really know, just thought id throw this up there for discussion purpose.

Also it calculates my dps to be somewhere around 1.3-1.4k with my current gear. While in actuality I am hitting between 900-1.1k depending on the fight. Any reason for this or is it more likely I have to re-examine the buffs I am getting, or I guess I could just suck at dpsing which is just as probable but from what I know about pveing I'm not doing anything wrong, other then having a crap computer...heh.

The DPS gives is theoretical perfect DPS you could achieve with never moving, never dropping SnD, and a perfect cycle.

Yea, not gonna happen.

And the spreadsheet is always right, don't second guess it.

Energy pooling; I think I wrote a post or guide about it somewhere.

Oh, and the spreadsheet has been wrong in the past. They've undervalued certain stats and talents, but most of the time it's correct to within 99%.

And yes, it assumes 100% DPS time. Really the two best fights for judging DPS are Gorefiend and Tidewalker.

Yea what I'm getting at is that the spreadsheet is telling me to gem for pure agi gems, something I know I should never do unless I'm breaching the hit cap. So unless your telling me I should do the opposite of what everyone has told me to do on the grounds of the spreadsheet saying so, I'll ignore the optimal gemming feature by the spreadsheet.

I think I know what your talking about and if so I strive to do this at all times, but I'll skim through the forums just in case

edit: couldn't find the post, but then I only looked through about 10 pages, dunno how long ago you wrote it theo

We're still talking about the rogue.raidcal.com spreadsheet, aren't we?

I've been toying with the new one (linked by Theo a little while back) from Vulajin ... it's a little easier to use, although not as featured as the existing one.
