Guardian's by like one PvP equivalent point. It may come down to what stats you need as the aldor proc gives a big boost to AP while the scryer gives a bonus one time damage.

The guardians neck is nice because it has resilience and constant stats. They are so close I say go with whatever helps your stats more.

Over time, the Aldor one is ~122 AP, .5% Crit and 190 HP, but it does have the nice effect of frontloading the AP boost (and therefore helps frontload the damage for the initial rush). The Guardian neck with a 5 Crit/5 AGI gem is 63 AP, ~1.4% Crit, 390 HP and 18 Resilience.

So, which is more valueable to you... ~60 AP (and a bit of frontloaded damage, but it may be wasted later or if you're CC'd) or ~1% Crit, 200 HP and 18 Resil.

Spreadsheet doesn't really give an accurate testament on PvP, imo, and I'm Scryer, that's why I am inclined to pick up the neck. Going to have to reread theo's gemming guide :) I could always use the resilience, and the extra 200 HP can't hurt. But loosing the base AP and the 18 agility hurts.

EDIT: Just read Zips post. Going to take the guardians after work. Thanks :)

Most people are going to gem 20 AP or 10 Agi in the neck, since there's no point in socketing for 3 stam as a rogue.

IMO as a Scryer the Guardian neck is better since I don't really care about the proc. It's really honestly personal preference. I know a lot of top rogues like their SSO pendant, but I've never been a fan of it, preferring static stat necks like Choker of Serrated Blades and my Guardian neck.

Fair enough, but I also completely ignored the socket bonus. Either way, Guardian's is the better choice.

The one main exception I can think of would be Rogue/Mage or Rogue/Lock in 2v2, where the battle is more or less over one way or another in the first 20 seconds anyway. The added burst might outweigh the loss of other stats.

Yeah, I can see that. Last week when I was PvPing I needed to use it for my S3 helm's meta (didn't have my S4 helm), but this week I'll probably be switching to the SSO pendant to try it for a couple games, as I have my two yellow/blue gems on my shoulders/chest.
