Depending on your other gear and which instances you go to, you'll pretty much be giving your healer a work out. It can be done, but is not preferred.

Once you hit lvl 70 - don't do it. Unless you literally want your healer to carry you through instances.

The reason for this is that mobs start hitting a lot harder now, and you don't have the damage mitigation that the Prot tree has, or the tanking utility. So you'll be a gimped tank.

If you are dead set on doing it, and have a friendly healer, then go for it. Just be ready to be carried, unless you severely outgear the instances (like if you ran BRD).

1) put tanking gear on.

2) stay in defensive stance, spam revenge/sunder/shield bash (yes, shield bash. it has 300+ bonus threat.), spam tclap if multimob tanking, keep demo shout, tclap and shield block up.

you will be fine tanking regular instances as fury as long as you have the gear for it. i offtank trash in kara, gruul, mag, SSC and TK while dps specced (fury or arms). my only problem is that my mob can't be the first to die, as my threat generation is kak compared to a prot-specced warrior.

don't forget heroic strike anytime you're at 50+ rage. you need all the help you can get to keep your threat up as fury.
