Hey guys, was looking to start a dps set with my holy build. I recently picked up a few pieces of the S3 set. I'm mainly just looking to help downing mobs faster. I know that spell dmg and crit are key. I alittle 600 spell dmg with around 22% crit chance. Was wondering if I should pick-up some other S3 stuff or try any dungeons?

Heres a link to my armory. I have my so called dps gear on. thanks for any advice

OK - it looks like you basically have 2 pieces of "DPS" gear, and the rest are Holy. That's cool - like you mentioned, you are starting to put it together.

Here's my recommendation:

First off, you have 375 Alch. You should make the Spell Damage Trinket. That will boost your spell damage significantly. Then, make yourself the Healing Trinket. Equip both, and you'll pump out some good damage.

The next biggest bang for your buck would be to get the Spell Damage PvP mace (whichever one you can get). All will give you a huge spell damage upgrade from your current mace.

Next, create a Divine Favor & Holy Shock macro so you get an autocrit with one key/button press.

Those alone should give you a substantial boost in DPS. Other than that, you can keep grinding for even more Spell Damage gear. Or, you can re-spec to Shockadin, which will boost your DPS by quite a bit.

Have fun with it :)

Where can I found those recipes for the trinkets? Can't say that I've seen them. I like the idea of the Marco too.

Ahh the shockadin build. I thought of going to that but with arenas and raiding I like the Holy and some in prot, mainly for Kings.

You're on the same server I am and at about the same point in progression... I'm a firm believer in substituting capital for labor whenever possible, so some things that don't require special grinding:

Second the recommendation on the alchemist stones, but it will be very pricy to get the mats for two (I know, because I made the tanking stone for my prot set).

While you're buying the stone recipes, pick up both exalted rep necklaces while you're there. I wish I had the Aldor proc for healing, but the Scryer proc on the spelldamage one is fun.

When I got the Jade Ring from Prince, the Violet Signet was no longer so special, so I had them convert it to the spelldamage version - esp. since I can always change it back.

If you really want to pay a premium for extra damage, you're close to the Blade of the Archmage (HH Exalted), which would give you a boost with a spelldamage chant.

They are recipes from the SSO Quartermaster (requires Exalted) on the Isle of QD.

Sorcerer's Alchemist Stone
and
Redeemer's Alchemist Stone

Combined, they give you +103 Spell Damage. Not too shabby.

Thanks guys, sorry for the late post back busy weekend.

Cool I was actually looking at that sword. Looked pretty good, wasn't too sure how it stacked to others.
