How useful is GFTT?Follow

#1 Jul 11 2008 at 6:56 AM Rating: Decent
I'm currently SV specced in a guild doin MH/BT and some SSC/TK.

Since I´m survival I do crit a lot but my pet is dealing damage like a bunny, so is it really useful to put down those two points in "Go for the throat"?

The only reason I could find is to perhaps use a bird with screech and GFTT would make that debuff more or less permanent.

if your melee heavy take those points and put them into improved hunters mark, that will do more damage than extra focus for your pet, even though its not your damage. but if your SV specced then you know about that.

No. do not do this. Even as SV your pet does a decent amount of damage, and GFTT is a key talent here. Given that imp mark, fully talented only gives the base AP to the melee, it's pretty pathetic. If you have a paladin in your raid putting up seal of wisdom, then you should be able to swap efficiency for mark as a SV hunter. However, do not lose GFTT it's a significant boost.

My suggestion to an SV hunter is to get a Wind serpent. Your higher crit makes this the best pet for you, and each crit you do is an extra free LB from the serpent.
