So I have that talent in the destruction tree thats adds 5% crit chance to all you destruction spells. My crit rating for all my spell schools is 15%. So does that mean that my crit for shadowbolt would be 20%.
I know this question seems kind of stupid but I really don't seem to have a 20% shadowbolt crit rate.

Yeah, you should have 20% crit rate. If you miss though, you cant crit. So thats can be a direct relation to a lower observed crit rate.
Do you have a dps meter? Most of them will give you your actual crit rate.

Thank you so much, yeah i have a dps meter but it doesn't show crit for some reason. I think I will get a new one.
Recount
It's the one I use, shows a stupid amount of information, I do wish the had a seperate tab for resists/miss though. Recount does take a lot of processor power though so if you have a crappier computer there is a "recount light" somewhere. I used it for a year before i got my new computer, but i can't remember the name of it to save my life. The "light" version shows the basics, but is no where near as in depth as the full version.
