Optimal 2v2 partner?Follow

What would the optimal 2v2 partner for a disc priest be?

Because today for the first time im thinking that either i suck extremely bad at arena or i need to find another parter.

Right now im working with a soul link warlock.

Normally we would do pretty good but today for some damn reason they kept attacking his pet. I know this is a great strategy for teams to do. but i also know that anything short of complete dedication to healing his pet will allow for the pets death.

So Im in this arena when the pet starts taking massive damage. I heal the pet and my heals. cannot keep up with the pets declining health. during this time im getting an earful on vent about keeping the pet up. so i decide to abandon my line of sighting operation i had going and went into bomb healing the pet to keep it up. i even pain suppression the pet.

It was about that time i noticed that i was being mana burned. and my lock partner was taking damage aswell. the second my my pain suppression ended. the pet took massive damage again and i began bomb healing once again.

long story short. the pet went down. i went oom. the lock went down. we lost. i was told it was my fault.

and i honestly do believe that it was my fault. but at this point i honestly dont know how to fix it. i have every piece of season 2 gear i can get. and i feel my skill. good or bad may not be able to increase much more.

So after 2 losses in a row on the week i logged and started thinking about everything i had done to get me to this point. i had sufferd through loss after loss in bg trying to get my gear so i could do arena.

Finally when im geared enough to do arena i find im just not good enough to compete. AWSOME.

sorry for the rant but hey there is a question in there too. Should i find a dif arena partner for 2v2 or should i just quit playing pvp cause im the one having the problems with all the sucking.

and i know this is a serious QQ post and all that.. but he im kinda bumed and i honestly dont think i can get any better at playing. so who knows.. not saying that im good or anything.. im just saying that however good i am now. i may not be able to get much better.

I did well enough with a Warlock partner back in season 2, but the liabilities of being double cloth in melee-heavy season 3 and later make that a tough comp now.

I've had the most luck with a rogue in 2s. Any solid rogue PVP build will work fine: shadowstep, mutilate or even HARP.

But if at all possible, play 3s with a rogue and mage. Once you learn teamwork, the synergy of that comp is amazing.

I'd say take a rogue, mage or hunter to play with.

Here's a tip: dont heal the pet as a maniac cuz it's waste of mana imo, the lock should summon a VW if his felhunter dies.

IF the pet of the warlock is being ganked let him summon it to a voidwalker which has more hp ect.
will make the healing easier or tell him to pull pet back a bit so you can easily heal it + depends on what you are fighting agains but just fear them away. this should help a bit. he needs to have fel domination aswell for if the voidwalker still dies to resummon an other voidy fast.
