healing with a pallyFollow

I ran Kara last night with a fairly overgeared group. The healers were me, and two pallies. I was second on the healing meter, though I had far more overhealing than the other two.

I know that the Lifebloom is probably the best heal to put on people when the take a bit of incidental damage, and the bloom will almost always go off after they've gotten to full health.

But I was wondering if healing alongside pallies generally ups our OH ratio. Often, I would just finish getting a stack of LB rolling when a big heal would come in, rendering the majority of my spell useless. I'm really not complaining, it was a fast and easy run. I'm simply curious about the mechanics, and trying to figure out if there is a way to heal with a pally that will be more efficient.
