go into AV and "secure" the mines for resource gain.

find a geared out war or rogue and follow them around in cat form while in their group. dont unstealth to attack or anything, just watch said war or rogue use your aura to pwn face. when healing is needed, toss on the heal gear and spam a few heals on your aura buddy, then run the f*ck away. every time after that when you enrage an enemy theyll waste a lot of time looking for you (while your prowling around) while your war/rogue buddy tears them a new one.

be a ninjaing *******; just spend time in DB or FW keep taking towers. if someone comes back and you cant outlast the tower cap (or kill em) lie low for a minute or two after the cap and start recapping. it drives em CRAZY.

stealth near node defenders /licking them every now and then. theyll know someone is near, but wont know where to look, so youll pin 2-5 guys on a single node if everything goes right.

bring a rogue or druid friend and do the above stealth-related stuff for more lawls. plus having a friend along always makes things more fun.

PvP is fun.
PvE is fun.

Do PvP to do PvE. Sounds like win/win to me.

But then again, I'm not you.

Agree w Kawainui. I like PvP. I like PvE. They are two different aspects of the game and I wish they wouldn't spill over as they do. I wish I didn't have an inherent advantage in PvE over my friends who don't like PvP.

There seems to be the most overlap with ferals between the two gear sets but every time I see a fresh 70 they are decked out in welfare epics and tearing through instances. (That includes, partly, me -- bought two s1 pieces when I dinged.) Makes me feel bad for the carebears who believe that if you do every quest and kill every boss you will get the best gear.

Agreed. PvP and PvE should have separate top tier gear sets that, while different, are both viable options.

I love PvP too, just not so much as a resto druid in BGs.

I don't like PvP much so for my much needed upgrades (such as the healing PvP mace of awesomeness), I usually grind the honor in AV. In which you can entirely bypass any form of PvP :P

I usually either tank the bosses or heal. I can do both without any kind of PvP gear on if I want and still bring a lot to my team, especially if I heal. Although I might try some of Quor's excellent suggestions next time.

/wave GryphonStalker (I don't see people from Sentinels very often on these boards ^^)

That's old skul AV. Usually it's a mutual rush to the other side's general nowadays on my BG but I prefer the epic clashes, which seem more like a true contest between factions, even if they are a far less efficient way to grind honor.

Turtle-AV's are nothing like in the old days. Nothing.

There's no neutral raid boss. No reason to do the quests anymore. No epic battles lasting for days. No neverending whine fests in the raid chat about how we're all jerks for dragging it out - just because we're running on the 47th hour.

Oh no, AV today is about as far from the epic glory it used to be. God damn, I miss those days.

Mmmm missed seeing you around Mazra. Missed the crazy teddy too. Anyway...

I have a druid (currently resto but feral to and for awhile at 70) and I love pvp. Not only is it fun to run around throwing HoTs on everyone like an idiot while everyone chases you but it's also fun to stealth in next to a rogue and help him completely stunlock everyone who thinks they are getting away with a pvp trinket pop.

Then on the other hand I have a shaman *cries*. I used to be elemental but have since respec'd enhance. As much as I get nuked when I'm alone, man I love being in a group near a node or flag and just lighting people up.

Anyway, there are a million ways to have fun at PVP, just as in PVE, but it is a little messed up that some PVP gear outweighs the PVE gear when it comes to a certain class/spec.

Hi Dev's. Why u gotta be in my WoW Foookin it up? :-)

I was actually just talking to my guild about this yesterday, since our guild is super laid back and doesn't take raiding seriously at all, I can't get my hands on any T4 at all, so my tank set consists of mostly S1 and a S4 piece ><. I can't do heroics much because of massive time constraints in the summer so I've just been pvping my eyes out a little each day and getting pvp gear that I probably won't replace until and if we get into SSC or a similar raid.

Same boat here. If you don't already have 'em, I recommend farming gold via dailies so you can buy the PvE-centric Belt of Natural Power and, if you're a leatherworker Boots of Natural Grace. (I do find it funny that open-toed shoes can have 474 armor, lol) Pieces like these help me feel more like a time-constrained PvE guy instead of a PvP poser.
