2 empty bottles of Corona glued to my *******, a q-tip shoved up my urethra, 2 walnut shells covering my nipples, and a dead bird attached to my taint I can get to 25k health in Kara gear...

O.o, it's not worth it imo.

My unbuffed HP in bear form is just shy of 14k atm. Fully raid buffed (fort, blood pact, warrior +HP shout, flask of fortification, kings, +20 stam food) tops me out at about 18.5k HP. That's a difference of 4.5k HP. Your base unbuffed HP is 16.5k, yet raid buffed you claim to gain an additional 8.5k HP?

My unbuffed hp in caster form is 12k ish. In bear form its 19k ish. I just showed I could get to 27k ish hp if I wanted. Proved an 8k hp difference is doable.

The only raid buff that scales with your stamina is Kings. Currently, Kings grants me in the neighborhood of 1200-1300 extra HP in bear form. I've noticed that a stacked MT party can push a druid's HP through the roof, but that's almost secondary to the argument.

Badge gear and S2+ arena gear are not necessary. Not for T4 content, nor through to T6 content. They're nice things to have, don't get me wrong, but when guild's were downing pre-nerf raid bosses for the first time, 2.3/2.4 badge gear simply didn't exist. S2 gear didn't exist when guilds were downing Prince/Gruul/Magtheridon for the first time. Guilds were downing these bosses without the benefit of that gear, so when I'm looking at my current gear and the stats it grants me and then looking at what's left and where I'm going, I don't buy into the notion that you have to be full uber to contribute to the next level of content. I don't argue (much) with guildies who tell me I need to have tens of thousands of honor + hundreds of badges worth of gear to contribute to T5 content. When I'm not raiding, I'm doing dailies or running heroics for badges. I'm certainly not the guy who spends all of his non-raid time spamming trade or raiding x-roads and then wondering why nobody wants me in the raid group.

I put a substantial amount of time into upgrading my gear. I'm waiting until I upgrade my chest piece to take a stab at heroic MagT for the tanking trinket from the third boss, but again...that's a piece that didn't exist in the game until recently.

In terms of epic feral druid tanking leather, there's T4 hands and head, belt from heroic Ramparts, and crafted boots (Boots of Natural Grace). Probably one or two "first tier" badge upgrades. Anything else that players are looking upon as a "necessity" for T4 25-man content really isn't a necessity, it's a luxury. Thus my response when people are looking at advanced badge/arena options as prerequisites to content that people had on farm long before that gear even existed.

You didnt got what I said. I never said anything of that is *needed* or is a *must*. I only said, its better.
Why stick with grand marshal when you can get guardian/vindicator easily? Why keeping gladiator when you can get vengefull glad really easy? Why keep heroic drop when you can get badges (wich are better) easier?
Is all this needed? Not really. Does it help? Of course. It can be the difference between you being a irreplaceable tank to a great tank.
Not really needed, but why stay in mediocre when you can go better?
